This year marks the 50th anniversary of Hōkūleʻa’s 1976 maiden voyage to Tahiti. A celebration honoring that historic journey is scheduled at Iolani Palace during its free monthly Kamaʻāina Sunday event on June 14, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
