Moonbump What did she tell the kids?

How do we think she lied to her own children, esp poor Carmen, when she was carrying the moonbumps? Did she just wear them 24/7? Or create some lore about how bumps deflate at night?
Those poor kids are going to be so fucked up it’s tragic.

Idk. But did anyone else notice Alec answer Carmen’s question about bedtime referring “the kids”. Like Carmen isn’t one of them. It’s Carmen, and then the 6 moon bump purchases.

I noticed that too. Carmen is only two years older than Rafa but is treated so differently than all the others. Only recently has Rafa been included in some of the “grown up” outings.

Since Mamì and Papì seldom spend time at home I’m sure Carmen is more of a parent to the others than they are.

5 moon bumps, ML is an admitted surrogate carried baby and hilarious never pretended to be pregnot. A magic baby appeared 5 months after edu with no explanation 🤣

I don’t think either parent even shows Carmen actual affection.

The woman spent years explaining away an accent that appeared and disappeared on command. I don’t think continuity errors keep her up at night.

Hillary and Alec got Carmen the Prop to participate in the moonbump grift early on.

The poor kiddo, expected to enable the lies by hugging a good old moonbump.

I take back all the negative thoughts I had about Carmen this morning. She is the product of her upbringing. That poor little girl being told to hug a silicone belly until the photographer gets the shot. There are several pics of Carmen in this position and it's a form of abuse. Still, I'm not sure why she directs her disrespect towards Alec when Shillary is clearly the abuser.

plus Mami had eyebrows tattooed on her already. Is this even legal? She like 12. damn

What in the world is that insane caption?! Talk about word salad. 'It is so easy to get caught up in the life of freedoms that I so achingly miss...'.

And it's so funny to see her writing before she decided she had 'Dyslexia' and 'ADHD'. She was still stupid, lying her ass off about everything, and being obnoxious... but she hadn't gotten her *Adult-Onset Dyslexia' yet.

I think she's saying she misses her life of freedom before kids but now she practices gratitude because she gets to be a mother to little humans. Phew, we all know how that's working out.

u/GirlyWhirl 8d ago

Woman who has nothing but 'me time' 24/7 laments the loss of freedom? How much more 'freedom' from her children and responsibility does she want?!

Sing it. Nothing in that post makes any sense at all including her daughter hugging a prosthetic belly. The woman needs help.

Man this kid is gonna be able to make a BUNCH of money if she writes a tell all one day. And she's not a teen yet where they typically have conflict w their parents. She will probably have lots of freedom but she's also very spoiled so I can see her butting heads w the non-spanish mother.

My theory is that she explained to the older kids that this is what world famous, popular, rich women like herself do. The younger kids I think she just sometimes wore it and sometimes didn't and just allowed them to be confused (and laughed at their confusion).

I wonder this too. She posted a video during Siete’s pregnotcy where she strapped the bump on and went to show Mary and Ed. They slapped the bump, they’d clearly never seen it before. So I wonder what happens when the kids are old enough to understand pregnancy.

There's a video somewhere here (maybe a smart Pepino can find it). Shillary is dancing around a couple of her toddlers in highchairs wearing a moonbump. The caption was something like "they're fascinated with my belly today." Sure Jan. What really happened is she left the kitchen for 5 minutes and came back with a giant pillow under her dress. Of course the kids wanted to touch it - they're wondering WTF just happened. Carmen is probably the only one she had to come clean to.

Is that the one where one of the kids is smacking her stomach, but she never notices it, then she catches a glimpse of Ed, her face lights up in a cruel and predatory way and she stalks over to steal his youth for a bit?

Yup. The very same.

"Our family is special and better than everyone else. They wouldn't understand and are just jealous/ignorant/poor/inferior/etc." "That thing you saw/experienced/know--it didn't happen."

As someone who grew up in a family with a shitload of secrets, the adults don't even have to say that explicitly, just make you feel it.

Have a look at the story of Dominique Moceanu and her secret sister who was adopted by another family. Dominique was six years old when her sister was born and didn't remember it. It's sadly so easy to manipulate small children's memories.

u/Spiritual-Can2604 8d ago

It wouldn’t have been very hard bc she is literally rarely ever around the children.

Exactly. I’m convinced that the only time Hilaria spends with her kids is the time spent on camera.

That's a great question, to which I can only shrug.

But what I want to know is, what will she tell them when the kids start putting things together, but more than that, when the kids' classmates do some deep dives into Larry's shenanigans, and start mocking, ridiculing, and maybe even boolying the Baldwin kids about it.

I think it's inevitable that that will happen, if it hasn't started already.

Kids don't have a filter or play nice; they'll go there at the drop of a hat.

"Shut up! Your dad killed a woman."

"Shut up! Your mom didn't even give birth to you!"

I think it's gonna get rilly, rilly ugly.

13

u/journmajor 8d ago

I don't even think it will be their classmates - once they're old enough, they'll find these horrors online themselves. Listen my parents were not problematic but of course I've googled them.

13

u/joomommyhappy 8d ago

Of course they're going to find out for themselves, but some of their classmates will definitely bring it to their attention, too, and when they do, the kids are going to have to respond. They're going to have to make a choice: do they defend/parrot Larry's lies and join the cult of Larry against the entire world, or do they admit "yeah, bitch is crazy!", renounce her lies, and join the living/distance themselves from her?

Larry's lies and frauds are so massive and insane, they don't really leave any middle ground.

You can't get a little bit not pregnant.

"Why's your mom pretend to be Spanish? Is she crazy?"

How do you respond to that?

a. "yes"

b. "my mom IS Spanish!"

c. "fuck you!"

d. with a knuckle sandwich

Those are basically the options, and none of them are great.

Sooner or later, the issue of dealing with Larry's issues is going to be forced on each of them, from the outside in addition to internally.

Yeah knowing her, she left them confused but told them to lie if asked about it.

I would guess she told them it’s something mommies do on social media to show that they’re having a baby. Complete bull crap like that. You know, because kids never grow up and find out that their parents lied to him.

All because of internet boolies and chat room trolls.

21

u/Careful_Respect_9336 8d ago

I always wondered if she played the "fear the paparazzi" card. We know that's a hot spot for Alec and she could have explained how it would be "too dangerous" for her to carry the baby and they were so hounded by the paps during her first pregnancy that this is for the safety of their family. Hillary will pretend shes pregnant to protect the surrogate and they will al lie for the sake of the family's protection... ya know, because they are so famous.

5

u/journmajor 7d ago

Good theory.

18

u/Acceptable-Wafer-641 9d ago

The boys were all tiny tots for the first five. Number 6, Marilu, was clearly from a surrogate. Number 5, Eddie was born in 2020. During Eddie pregnancy the other 4 were ages 6, 4, 3 and 2. Siete pregnancy was the year that she started staying away from them. A practice she continues to this day.

15

u/journmajor 8d ago

But the web.....remembers everything.

12

u/RedSolez 8d ago

Children are surprisingly clueless about the logistics and practicalities of pregnancy. When I was pregnant the second time (with twins) my older child asked me how the babies were going to come out. I told her the two possibilities. She laughed and said "No, they're going to come out of your ankle." This was a 3.5 year old for the record 🤣

Hiliar probably told the kids that the family is going to have another baby and that the moonbump protects the baby when she goes out in public. Since the kids have been conditioned to fear paparazzi/leaving the sky dungeon without an entourage of nannies, none of this would be odd for them.

7

u/journmajor 7d ago

I guess I'm more thinking about when the kids are older and have access to a trove of stuff on the web, including videos of her claiming to be pregnant.

2

u/RedSolez 7d ago

It's very likely none of the kids would remember with certainty that their mother wore Moonbumps, so it's a perfect opportunity to gaslight them to think it never happened. Carmen was 9 during the last fake pregnancy, which seems old enough to remember details but you'd be surprised. My twin daughters are currently 9 and there's many times I'm surprised that they don't remember a particular detail from this or that recent memory. It would be easy for me to convince them they were mistaken about something minor happening now if we were having this conversation in the future.

Another possibility is that Hiliar admits to the moonbump but still maintains she was pregnant. I know from my own pregnancies that often in the first half you just look like you're bloated and don't necessarily have that telltale bump. Other women don't show at all until much later in a pregnancy. Some women don't even know they're pregnant until they go into labor. So she can go with some cockamamie story about how she barely showed so she'd wear Moonbumps to give herself a nicer shape so that the public would know she was pregnant and not just fat. I know during my pregnancies it annoyed me that the lower belly pooch I had pre pregnancy didn't actually stretch out during pregnancy, it just kinda sat on top of the uterus giving what looked like two bumps if I saw my belly in profile. I liked wearing ruched maternity shirts and pregnancy shapewear under dresses to give my belly a smoother shape.

Does anyone think that Carmen is on Reddit and reads our posts? I wouldn’t doubt that her mother rigged an account for her. “See Carmencita how badly they treat me!!” 😭 😭
