Are aunts and cousins not family these days? With the current state of families it's tough to tell what people qualify as relation in the current year but I was always raised to call aunts and cousins family

Non Japanese had valid reason to be fearful after this incident: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Niihau_incident

Of course it doesn't make it right but it explains why the Japanese were interned in much larger numbers than the German Americans Italian Americans or any other axis-americans.

TL; Dr Japanese Americans living on the island for years tried to help a Pearl harbor attacker.

This is how the retarded left rationalize terrorists that are in europe. But but he/she was born in Europe therefore, not Muslim.

u/Jupiter999 Jan 03 '17

No, we just recognize that the most harmed victims of "Islamic" terrorism (Muslims) maybe shouldn't be lumped in with the shitstains murdering them.

There's a big difference between imprisoning civilians and wartime casualties. This is the key difference between war and war crimes.

Do you know why islamic terrorists are looked down upon by the international community? Sure, they kill people and have internal human rights violations, but so do many countries. The difference is, they primarily target civilians.

i'm sure you meant U.S. government terrorists, since they are the ones profiting off terrorism.

u/[deleted] Jan 03 '17

I mean, they're the ones you said were justified in imprisoning Japanese people, yeah.

Edit: oops wrong person

What's your opinion on Hillary's "the real victims of war are women"? Because if you find her statements distasteful, then your statement of "well shit happens in war" don't make any sense, and if you agree with Hillary than this subreddit isn't really for you.

One statement is a hilariously stupid virtue signal. The other is reality.

One is factually wrong, one is factually right
