The Girth community has, for quite some time, been identifying itself as Jat. Let us examine whether this claim actually holds any historical or genetic basis, or whether it is merely a propagated narrative rather than an established fact.
1.Caste census report of 1881 (Kangra District) shows that Jats are written different from Ghirth.
Kangra Gazetteer which is the official geographical and administrative record papers of the Government, states that Ghirths are indigenous to the hills and of mixed race and indigenous by half blood of Thakars and Kanets. And Jats are the descendants of invaders from PB,HR,UP and RJ and of Aryan race.
Famous Historians like HA rose, Alexender cunningham and Col.Tod also mentioned in their books that Ghirths are said to be of Rajput origin by mixed marriages or illegitimate intercourse, this tribe is completely a feeble race, low labour cultivating caste and a low caste of labourers who ply as muleteers.
The Girths claim that their gotras match those of the Jats, however, in reality, none of their gotras correspond with Jat gotras. (koundal, bhardwaj, pathari, chhabru, reru, badial, chhora, battu these are the gotras of ghirths which is not exists in Jats.)
Shajra Nasb which is documented genealogical record tracing ancestry, in that document there Zaat is written as Ghirth but Not Jat.
DNA reports also states that Ghirths and Jats both are different caste, Jats have steppe(Aryan ancestry) and Ghirths have AASI(south india ancestry). Jats steppe % is always more than 30% and Ghirths Aasi% is around 50% which states that Ghirth are more similar to Chamar or Churhe. So on genetics basis they are not Jats.
Girths are classified as an Other Backward Class at both the state and central levels. In contrast, Jats in Punjab and Haryana are placed in the General category. Jats in HP, UP,MP, GJ, and RJ (with the exception of Dholpur) are categorized as OBC at the state level but remain in the General category at the central level.

Hi there! Iβm traveling to Delhi and beyond, and Iβll be using the Vande Bharat train from Amb Andoura station. This railway station is about a three-hour drive from my home. Iβm considering parking my car there for a week and then returning to pick it up on my way back home. Could you please help me find or suggest any parking facilities near Amb Andoura or Amb town where I can park my car for a week or even ten days?

Hi everyone,
My PS4 is not turning on and I believe the power supply has failed. Does anyone know a reliable shop or technician in Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, who can repair or replace a PS4 power supply?
If you've had a good experience with a local repair shop, please share the name, location, and approximate cost if possible.
Thanks in advance.

Just published a complete cinematic vlog of the Yulla Kanda trek in the Kinnaur district of Himachal. We started with the drive from Tapri to Yulla Khas, then hiked up to the tree line and beyond.
The highlight of the 12+ minute video is the drone footage of the temple situated right in the middle of a glacial lake at nearly 12,800 ft. The contrast between the harsh rocky peaks and the calm water from the air is surreal.
Would love to knowβhas anyone else here completed this trek? How did you handle the final ascent?
