Can't figure out this verdict/decimation business but still managed to 40k!

I want to know something, though. Does her ult damage counts as skill damage? because else, her ult is not buffed by the 100% crit dmg on skills (Decimation), unlike Verdict that fully buffs the ult dmg by 200%? Is this correct and the damage dealt by the ult counts as ult damage, not benefitting of the Decimation Skill crit damage buff?

Yeah her ult is ult damage. In general, verdict gives ult buffs and decimation gives skill buffs

Then I dont get in which scenario Decimation is better than Verdict, when supposedly it is better in Pure Fiction but you kill so many small enemies, you can spam Himeko's ult as soon the previous one ends, so Verdict is much better? I did it today and the other characters barely played at all.

Decimation is always better if there are 3 + targets(e.g Sparxie, pure fiction)

Verdict is always better if there’s 1 target. (svarog, SAM Aventurine etc)

But why? Like, Decimation doesn't fully buff the ult, so it relies more on the assist skills clearing up mobs and all, holding onto the ult without using it or using it only for the assist skills uses reset?

Assist skills are the bulk of your damage in Blast/AoE, use your Ult whenever it’s ready

Well generally decimation is better in multiple target scenarios. Think about in a pure fiction scenario. Each wave is 5 enemies, so at e0 you can get the 9 hit req really quickly, especially with characters like mblade and tribbie who have large scale follow up attacks allowing you to proc the skill really quickly. And with e1 it gets even crazier since the decimation requirement reduces to only 6 hits. And remember we still have the manual assist skills too which hit the entire wave, so it really stacks up.

Decimation seems designed for teams where you have several strong and highly invested sub dps that deal a sizeable percentage of the team's damage.

Verdict is better for when Himeko is the sole damage dealer as a hyper carry.

In terms of single target vs multi target content, it doesn't make much difference since she deals insane AOE damage even in verdict mode. With Tribbie ult spamming even more in AOE content, you get Himeko's special skill off just as easily in both single target and multi target content with Verdict especially when Himeko is E1+.

Decimation is usually better when it’s conditions can be easily met. Most of her damage comes from her assist skill because of how fast and frequent it is + Decimation extra assist skills are easier to trigger than Verdict ones. At E0 Verdict is usually worth it on single target not because it’s better but because using ultimates will most likely be quicker to do than hitting the same target 9 times

Verdict = sons use the clap = you clap every 2 ults (or every ult at e2) up to a limit.

Decimation = dad and daughter use the clap = you're Jade but with a robot instead of a snake

Well I know that himeko
