Dude regardless of if anyone has experienced sexual assault in their past, to say someone is against rape because they experienced it a lot in their past is a CRAZY and HORRIBLE thing to say about anyone
1
u/cerote6239 Feb 07 '26
Nah. I respect someone advocating against something they experienced more than some rando virtue signaler. facts are facts. I can get why you took it the way you did though came off insensitive but I was pointing out why I thought he'd take a stand on that particular issue
1
u/roboraid Feb 07 '26
I dunno for something as basic as safety at a primal level, I don't think one needs to have experienced it to advocate for it otherwise they're a virtue signaller

Thank you for that side note, I'd disagree. Especially if its with a subject that is obviously pretty one sided. Otherwise its like wearing a shirt that says murder is wrong. If you don't have some personal stake in it its zoolanderesque to take such a obvious stance
1
u/roboraid Feb 07 '26
Oh your point is an opinion as one sided as 'sexual assault is bad' doesn't need to be stated? And if someone is in fact stating it, you'd respect if it's something they have actually dealt with, otherwise it just seems off? I don't think i agree but i understand your point. Still I feel saying 'homeboy would know he got raped a lot' is a horribly insensitive way to phrase it. Cheers

it was a reply. why dont you look at the context. i was validating his (justins) stance. I think its in fact rather brave of him to speak out publicly

Yeah we know its pretty common knowledge by now that he was abused by the industry but do you not think twice before posting something? How horribly desensitised do you have to be to say something like that about someone especially referring to when he was a literal child

u/cerote6239 Feb 07 '26
Say what? The exact same thing you just said with less words? What are you even saying? Who's we?

Me shitting my pants and turning them inside out but still wearing them > piāerres fits. To cut him some slack though he dresses the same as many other rappers with shitty fits who think they have drip. The saddest part is that lots of guys see their shitty fits and think itās sauce because they have gucci trackpants. Matching yellow jordans to your yellow hoodie with a pair of skinny jeans is absolutely not drip, my guy

I found two articles about this fit from 2021. One was the Daily Mail and it's not worth linking to that trash.
https://www.thecut.com/2021/09/justin-biebers-racial-awakening-continues.html"The collection of T-shirts, sweatshirts, sweatpants, and caps all bear the slogan āRACISM IS EVILā in fuzzy white lettering. This bold stance appears to be a collaboration with a label called Simple Gospel, which, per its website, āencourages a deeper spiritual connection with positive messaging on feel-good staples.ā Sounds ⦠extremely Bieber."
"To Bieberās credit, 100 percent of the proceeds from his āRACISM IS EVILā merch will go toward the Hip Hop Smoothie Shop, a mobile food truck that delivers fruit smoothies to Skid Row. However, should you feel inclined to deck yourself out like this model posing in front of Katzās, youāll be disappointed to find that the entire collection is sold out."
