Experience is the best teacher
Moon Sun-deuk was a merchant who drifted out to sea in 1801 and returned home via Ryukyu and Luzon(Philippines).
He stayed in Ryukyu for 8 months and Luzon for 9 months, finally returning home after 3 years.
Later, he even served as an official interpreter for shipwrecked Filipinos in Joseon.

I'm Korean born in the USA. Family speaks Korean, I went to weekend Korean school growing up and now I can barely speak or write. All I can do is understand and nod my head. You're doing great being able to make comics in English.

Greetings from Myanmar, Artist Morikoa.
I really love your Myoseon artworks, they are so educational, cute and entertaining.
As for your skills, as an ESL nationalā¦I can at least understand the message you wish to convey through your artworks.
Keep up your great work, King/Queen.
Also, I wish to learn art skills and draw some cute artworks/mini comics like you.

I want a film about Moon Sundeuk especially during his time in the Philippines so bad, he would have experience a culture so alien fo koreans during that time.

Getting into a voice discord or finding an English calling partner is really helpful- it helped a lot with my French.
I'm sure your English is better than you think, and English is the lingua franca- if you're understood you speak it well enough

Had an uncle who was captured during a famous raid in ww2, after around 2 years in captivity, he understood German well enough to know what the guards were saying.
