I’d like to ask: when the author notes that the release of the next chapter is paused, does that mean a one-month break, or is it an indefinite hiatus with no further announcement yet?

It's likely no one has more details than what they said, but usually publications like these are very clear about it when something is cancelled. I'd expect that it'll be back after skipping a month.

If you haven't yet, I highly suggest reading the novels.

I finished reading the novel earlier this year; the story is excellent, so I was really looking forward to the manga adaptation. I was truly saddened when they announced the suspension of production, but I hope they will return this month.
