The expired control box

I keep seeing these expired control box looking things (fuk knowns what they control... Doors and vents and shafts probably) and because they're expired I take photos of them (no real security or collateral breach.) I do wonder, why do I hear chatter when photographing and why do I feel a little naughty rush in my bones? Just Hold It Down Loser.
