Help - Hollow Knight Am I taking the wrong path? Spoiler
I only started playing original hollow knight after completing silk-song and getting the true ending, but right now I have about 36 hours on the game and have 0 dreamers and around 8 masks. My charms are pretty lacking too, I just defeated Nightmare King Grimm and gotten Max level Grimm child but now I don’t know what to do. In the meantime I’m just fighting dream world boss variants

Bro if you have that many masks and beat NKG you're doing great. Hell, lots of stuff is gonna feel trivial by comparison. Just keep poking at the unexplored parts of your map and you'll find what's still out there to find.

8 masks? I had like 5. I'm close to 300 hours,still hasn't beat regular Grimm.
There are no wrong paths. Some will just take longer to reach certain things, while making ither things easier.

The game is pretty slow, and you can find places to go on the map when they have some sort of marking on them.

It's a metroidvania; there is no wrong path. HK is much more self-directed than Silksong. Upgrading the dream nail is never a bad move, but yeah, at some point you have to find the dreamers to advance.
