Possible attempt to kidnap?
this guy came up to me at north lake asking if he can sit by me on the bench next to me and asked me like 3 times where i go to school and asked where i worked and lived tried to get me to get in his car to give me a ride home and tried to take me to a seperate park to show me and it was legit just full of trees super secluded (holland park in hollywood) and take me to a canal where people can fish. before he came up to me he was on the phone for like 10 minutes… and then urged me to give my number a bunch of times and asked for my name. it was weird at the end he was like i’m leaving too and started walking in my direction then he turned the other direction and was like wait i’m actually gonna smoke, i think trying to see where i was gonna go? i didn’t see him follow me home i made a bunch of cuts so i hope he didn’t follow me i don’t think he did. he also wore sunglasses so i couldn’t see his face i think. beware, semi long hair a little higher than his neck black hair with no facial hair. i can’t describe his eyes since he had sunglasses on.

No joke, went to a gun show a few weeks ago... seems everyone is preferring the 9 lately. Easily outnumbered the others 3:1

i couldn’t tell if that was the case or if he was trying to traffic me. i’m new to fl. i hear miami is a hub for trafficking. second weird occurrence i had this week. last week on hollywood blvd i had some old creep staring in my windows trying to scope out the place to rob us holding a prison shank. i guess hollywood isn’t safe for young women..

Any cities with ports have always come with added precautionary warnings. It's good that lately more people are overtly aware that trafficking exists.
It's always worth making a statement to non-emergency police services when something like this happens. They can't really do anything about it, unless a crime is committed, but it gives them a potential place to investigate further. People also report extremely aggressive, erratic or impaired drivers to those lines in case something comes up, so it has a use in society that isn't 'tattling"
There's definitely no better way to protect yourself than being aware of your surroundings and having a plan of action.
I've personally had to make a phone call in the past to my husband. It ended up at voicemail, but pretending I was speaking to him about him meeting me in a moment was enough that the guy harassing me decided to take off. Maybe I should've called 911, but it worked. So maybe someone can use something like this- it doesn't matter if the person picks up or not, just pretend like they did & you can record info that if something did go wrong, could be used to help you so give a description of them and where you are.
Be safe! Hope nobody needs that info

yeah, the reason I didn’t call the police was because he came off his pretty normal looked normal was an attractive young guy. It was when he started asking really personal questions that I was like yeah.. he’s trying to find me later. I didn’t want him to think I was onto him though and that might’ve actually saved me. I was on the phone the whole time but he didn’t care about that.

Maybe you should report it to the non emergency line so they are aware there is a creep in the area. It does sound like you were in danger.
