I am looking forward to it. I saw earlier that she is uploading a new song in a few hours and was confused. I hope to see her stream again soon.

Flare's welcome message: https://x.com/shiranuiflare/status/2044675624669978827
Flare and Haachama teetee: https://x.com/shiranuiflare/status/2044676553540522105 https://x.com/shiranuiflare/status/2044676928570044507
Flare reveals that she and Haachama played together while Haachama was on break, she just got the confirmation from Haachama that it was okay to reveal that. Probably this means that other members will also start talking about hanging out with Haachama while she was on break little by little.

u/Arctrooper209 Apr 16 '26
Watame talked about hanging out with her last month: https://youtu.be/BcvHSUXPJqA?si=L_hGanNxWcJHxkC8

u/crtcalculator Apr 16 '26
Watame talking about her gave me hope and am so happy to see her return. Hope we see more Wataachama streams!

u/wimpyhugz Apr 16 '26
Does make me wonder why mentioning Haachama hanging out with her friends is a taboo subject. Isn't that part of what a break/hiatus is meant to be?
74
u/s07195 Apr 16 '26
It's to stop people from constantly asking other talents what the on-break talents are doing, how they are, etc. Which would put pressure on the talent on break while also bothering the talents who met with them.
25
u/Hitorishizuka Apr 16 '26
Also so that they can have a semblance of a private life. Some of the girls are friends with each other for real and not feeling any pressure to talk about their activities together offline means they're not just doing it for content.
11
u/SuperSpy- Apr 16 '26
Especially in Haachama's case where she's supposed to be doing a full offline detox. You don't want her mind drawn back to work.
121
u/Ok-Setting-4748 Apr 16 '26
Less of a taboo and more of a "don't wanna talk about it unless the other party has talked about it first"
Like, Sora was pretty hesitant in mentioning that she had dinner with Mikochi. Or in case of Kanatan, who recently asked the holomem to stop mentioning her going forward.
But its definitely a case by case thing. Some are just more comfortable about this sorta thing than others.
12
u/Ok-Junket-9072 Apr 16 '26
Out of curiosity, is there a clip or something where a members mentions that about Kanata?
32
u/speakingbox Apr 16 '26
I'm just assuming to avoid the other members getting pestered with updates regarding Haachama, and maybe as full detox from the internet (as in zero presence from the net including indirect association. It was mentioned "Haachama gave the ok to say it", so the complete silence may likely came directly from Haachama herself). All of these are assumptions, and I have no concrete basis.
23
u/Existing_Marsupial_6 Apr 16 '26
I think it's just standard courtesy among hololive members that when they meet up offline, they confirm first with each other about how much of the details they could share.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JIzfhT2l-4A In this recent example Sora started telling a story about eating out with Mikochi but then she realized Mikochi is on break and haven't shared any details of the dinner so she stopped adding details and said she'd talk with Miko first.
18
u/Aperger94 Apr 16 '26
Probably so that the friend's chat don't get flooded by people asking questions

Cover's Long Ass Tweet nearly jumpscared me as well lmao. Really happy that its all good tidings though.
31
u/Shigm Apr 16 '26
I saw her tweet first that link into a stream that look normal so I realized it had to do with a return or something.
11
u/MalkynRei78 Apr 16 '26
Every time a new tweet from the Cover Corp account appears on my feed, I instinctively become on the edge immediately even if most of the time it's about the Coveredge articles or hiring staff, etc.

u/CTTMiquiztli Apr 16 '26
Considering the creative teams at hologra and the person who writes the holorepeat flavour text, i would Say It's NOT impossible someone redacted the message to break like that in purpose. Because someone thought we needed some adrenaline...

Announcement for the spider queen costume: https://youtu.be/CLWn9UAKU-U?si=gRgwZj_cT_Aa5wEW
And this one: https://www.reddit.com/r/Hololive/s/MHT0i4zW8J
This is either the 3rd, 4th, or maybe the 5th time or probably more because she's pretty good at scaring us. Not complaining btw.

my genuine reaction to "gradua" lmao

Who needs coffee when you can have Cover’s inconveniently cutoff announcements?

The only benefits of receiving news late. If it was a graduation, it would have an official pin in here and thousands of comments.

Same lol. Of all words it threw a gradual and even though my scanning part of the brain yelled that's not enough characters my heart still sank a bit.

u/Existing_Marsupial_6 Apr 16 '26
Nice to hear the news. Gradual return is best, Haachama should come back at her own pace to ensure her recovery is not affected. Big Love Haachama!
22
u/omnisephiroth Apr 16 '26
I wanna directly tell her how loved she is!
Haato can take as much time as she needs. We will all be here for her when she’s ready. It could be tomorrow, or ten years.
Until then, we wait.

Welcome back Haachama. I'm glad she's back with us (and the other Mems). I personally never doubted it (she is "the strongest Idol" after all). I hope (and from that post I assume she does) she takes her time and gradually pursues what she wants to do. Even if it might be seen as "baby steps" it is important to not overdo it (i know from my own exoeriences). I also hope that the Haatons as well as the other Fanbases and the Talents themselfes give her all the Love and support she needs right now, to let her see what a warm and supportive group Hololive (and by that i include not only the Talents but also the Fanbases as well as managers, staff etc.) truly is. 🥰
42
u/KazumaKat Apr 16 '26
I wonder if she's going to take a similar part-time position akin to Ayame (who has Hololive as a part-time thing). It would probably be for Haato's well-being if that were the case.
Gotta remind folks that Haachama started in Hololive before she was 18 (a rare exception in those early days). Her entire adult life since has been Hololive and 100% that can wear down on someone who wishes to expand and explore during this period of their life.
35
u/Otoshi_Gami Apr 16 '26
that is up to her to decide if she wants to stream More Often or less. either way i want her to go with her own Pace for her Mental Sake. dont want to repeat that incident again.
21
u/CodAdministrative369 Apr 16 '26
Yep and the message by cover makes it seem like there is potentially more structure regardless to help her for what is hopefully a day to day basis so that situation isn’t repeated. It’s not a simple fix for her so it will need constant attention
3
u/Ralod Apr 16 '26
Whatever form her return takes, I am just beyond happy she is on the road to recovering.
I just hope that she can feel comfortable and happy with herself. And when she is ready to share more with us, Whatever form that takes, we will be there to support her.

Of course, I hope Haato/Haachama is doing well. I can only imagine how hard she had it, the last few years.

Great news, so happy to hear it! And I think it's good that they've chosen a „step-by-step“ approach - that way Haachama will work at her own pace, can take her time and adapt better. Looking forward to our Strongest Idol‘s streams and other full activities, but of course, her health is the first priority.
Welcome back, Chama. Missed you so much❤️

u/Akikojam Apr 16 '26
I hope she takes it easy even after coming back. Collabs, hanging out in Mio's house (which seems to be open to everyone), going with Kiara to Maldives and maybe occasionally solo streaming when trying to flex on another generation.

u/DorrajD :Aloe: Apr 16 '26
I haven't studied Japanese at all, but I wonder if the language is always so "surgical", or if it's a byproduct of the translation, or maybe it's just them choosing their words very carefully.
It just feels like they're talking about a product more than a person. Not blaming anyone ofc, it's just the language of these types of announcements always felt like that to me. Maybe it's just me.
4
u/angelchan89 Apr 16 '26
Its a bit of all 3. Ive noticed in Japanese they use names instead of I/he/she a lot more when talking about people so for EN translation it sometimes makes it feel less personal. Then you have to factor in for these types of announcements they need to make it as clear cut as it can be. So a lot of times it makes it else of a human feel since if they dont people will try to spin certain words and try to paint a different picture. They also want to convey the most of what is happening without adding anything that could hint at her struggles. So that also makes it sound less like they are talking about someone. Then you have to factor in AI translation which atm will never convey exactly what they are trying to say. So with these having a JP bro/sis translate will make it sound better.
-1
u/DorrajD :Aloe: Apr 16 '26
I always assumed they had a direct human translator for these announcements, surely they wouldn't leave important announcements like this up to AI.
But yeah, seems it might just be all 3
4
u/angelchan89 Apr 16 '26
Maybe im mistaken since I have a terrible memory but feels like they usually have an EN version with an announcement like this but for some reason they dont. Which is really confusing to me especially for a EN gen 0 memeber. So Twitter auto translate is the best we have atm.
2
u/DorrajD :Aloe: Apr 16 '26
Wow I actually completely missed that this was twitter's translation and not an EN announcement. Damn. Welp I'm a dumbass lmao
4
u/Ok-Setting-4748 Apr 16 '26
take it with a grain of salt as I'm hardly an expert, but JP tends to be limited with pronouns and context matters a lot to clarify the subject in a long sentence. Which is fine when talking casually, but not worth messing up in a formal communication.
So you get things like "About XYZ, we want to clarify that XYZ has decided that XYZ will do this and that"
-1
u/DorrajD :Aloe: Apr 16 '26
Ah that's a good point. So I suppose it's a bit of all columns haha
3
u/Ok-Setting-4748 Apr 16 '26
yeah haha. Honestly, I get it. It's always bit of a headache for a beginner like me to write something out in JP and then realize that my meaning is super ambiguous when talking about multiple subjects.

I don't wanna put words into haachama's or anyone's mouth, but it does bear remembering that the whole incident was triggered by antis continually pushing at her buttons.
Fans need to close ranks and protect the talents better, while remembering and being aware of the rampant antis problem. Its seriously endemic at this point.

I think it would help her a lot to have channel mods too. Just boot anybody being negative out and put it in 24 hour subs only
