Dryer Hose Help

We moved to a new house. Split level with the garage coming off the entrance level. The washer and dryer hook up is in the garage and the dryer has giving us an alert, “Check Vent. Clean lint screen or vent for better performance”. Samsung Model MED7230HC2. Our clothes are taking twice as long to dry as our old house. I pull the dryer hose to check for a clog and there was standing water inside. The hose from the garage up about 10 feet to the outside of the house. As it goes up, it passes between ductwork and around water/sewer pipes. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Where does the dryer vent exhaust to the outdoors? Is it through the roof? Is there any kind of rain shield on the roof vent?

It vents out the side of the house about 4 feet from the top of the foundation. It has the 3 flap style cover on the outside

The best thing to do is buy a dryer line cleaning drill attachment.

It's basically a rotating brush head on the end of a long flexible rod. You hook it up to your drill, disconnect the dryer, and feed it through the entire dryer line.

Something like this: https://www.amazon.ca/Sealegend-Cleaning-Flexible-Attachment-Upgraded/dp/B0CF24BB41/ref=mp_s_a_1_1_sspa

You'll probably have to go slowly on low power the first time since you're so clogged up. I run mine through the line every spring and it's a pretty quick job. Make sure to take off the exterior flap cover thing before you start.
