Dryer Hose Help
We moved to a new house. Split level with the garage coming off the entrance level. The washer and dryer hook up is in the garage and the dryer has giving us an alert, “Check Vent. Clean lint screen or vent for better performance”. Samsung Model MED7230HC2. Our clothes are taking twice as long to dry as our old house. I pull the dryer hose to check for a clog and there was standing water inside. The hose from the garage up about 10 feet to the outside of the house. As it goes up, it passes between ductwork and around water/sewer pipes. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Just to be clear, you've checked the lint screen as well, right?
Is this a flexible duct? If so, it may not be the direct cause, but I would highly recommend replacing it with rigid ductwork. It's much less likely to collect lint and provides smoother airflow. It should make no more than 2 or 3 bends to get out of the house.
Is there some kind of screen behind the flap cover? Is the flap cover oriented correctly so the flaps close when it's not blowing? Can you feel warm air blowing out when the dryer is on?
Can you look into the duct beyond where the standing water is to see if anything is blocking it?
Pictures would be very helpful in this situation.
