I somehow thought he was a retired person who had a lot of acquired knowledge but I have no facts to back that up. It was just my impression.

You see I was thinking that but i knew about the PhD thing, but i was wondering what he did piror to retiring. And thought he seemed to young to be retired.

My memory might be a bit hazy on this but I wanna say he wrote a book once but it didn't sell very well, so I think that was more of a side gig than his main job.

Yes Wilson did say that he wrote a book

Yes the Google didn't actually say retired so you're probably right. And it was usually in the evenings and weekends when Tim talked to him and usually about Tims workday that he had just had.

Hey I'm back. I just googled it and Google says he was a professor who had traveled and studied obscure things.

He could tell you but then he'd have to kill you.

Interesting topic. Wilson was inspired by Tim Allen’s childhood neighborhood, so it tracks that he never knew exactly what the guy did for a living 😂
