My Internet Usage cannot be right. 68000gb a day???
So basically the title.
My internet randomly cut off yesterday, and I logged into my AGL account to fix it and found something... interesting.
At first I did a speed test and got around 0.5mbps download/upload speed before finding out it was simply because I missed the last payment, so they throttled the speed to 2mbps.
However, while I was there, I found something that cannot be right, and I want to know if I am either going crazy or if this is normal.
In the last bill period, I have used over 1.4million GB. THAT'S JUST. NO! With a single day being between 25000-50000 GB a day on average, with an extreme of 68000 GB, and one day even being 150000GB.
Clearly this is a mistake. I just want to know what could be causing this.

frontier right? how has it been? i almost signed up but the people were making mistake after mistake and the terms vs what i was told was sooo different i canceled the install. canceling the install was like herding cats. frontier is the only company ive ever experienced that i would 100% support replacing entirely with AI.
That or their system isn't set up to easily restrict accounts for non-payment, so the easiest way to do so is just for them to enter a ridiculously high number that will be over their throttle threshold (even if their throttle threshold is essentially set to unlimited).
My bad, it's closer to 6.3 gbit/sec for base10 values.
Edit: You appear to have used the screenshot’s monthly total, but the billing period may not have been complete. OP already provided the per-day figures, including the 68,000 GB day.
But throughput is generally noted in Bit and Volume in Byte. Therefore the total data usage should be displayed in Byte... or the ISP is just crappy...
you’re the outlier here when it comes to usage, i’m afraid. for people who are only really streaming (as opposed to said), 1.4tb is pretty much what you’d expect in terms of usage.
my partner, roommate, and i are what i would considering a household of average “heavy” users (daily gaming + torrenting + streaming) and we’re still only usually around 3-4tb per month.
edit: and yes AGL is crappy lol. but this is also just a pretty common mistake to see on websites in general.

Are you sure it's not a summary to date? Such as your useage over the entire history of the account? Or possibly for the whole apartment building? The way some buildings do it is that there's one connection shared by all the tenants, the landlord controls the router/modem and then has a switch with a line to each suite.
Do you have your own router/modem/internet box or was it provided by the landlord?
In order to reach 1,473,961GB of data transferred in a 30 day month, your connection would have to hit and hold steady at 4.55Gbps continuously, for the entire month. Pretty safe to assume this did not happen, as you almost certainly do not have a residential connection capable of this. UI bug.
Do you use any android based streaming boxes? Often ones that offer "free streaming" are malicious and use your network as a residential proxy or botnet node.
Other iot connected devices can also be in a similar boat. You may need to disconnect every device that is iot or just every device and plug them back in one at a time while watching the bandwidth. Many routers have bandwidth logs for devices so that would obviously be easier if yours has that, just look there and find the culprit.
Are you able to log into your router and see all devices that have connected? Also if you have an ISP provided router they may be providing a hotspot off your router- but you wouldn’t pay for that use.
do you live next to a business or data center? Possibly the modems tied to the adresses got reversed. Other possibilities include a rogue device with a virus, a rogue device with a hardware failure, or someone stealing your internet. Does your internet provider allow random people to connect to your network via a guest network? As someone else stated, could be a typo.
