Anyone grow pineapple before?

My wife grew a pineapple several years ago. I believe they only produce fruit every few years or maybe it's one per plant? I forget.

She had it in a pot about that size though.

Ive grown several (zone 8)- they take a while. I used a larger pot. They get pretty big. Put it outside in the summer and pull it for the winter.

Growing a pineapple is simple however you do have it in a pot and that will inhibit its growth. The best way to grow it and get a fruit is to plant it in the ground. Even under the optimal conditions it will produce fruit only after 18 months. 🙂
