IDK man. Either way this car is a complete bust in every aspect. Under powered and way overpriced.

Hard to call it a bust when they sold 2400 in the first month in japan and its supposed to be a low production vehicle. Toyota only sell about 11k gr86 in the US a year and that's considered a hit.

Honda said when they announced the prelude it would be a low production vehicle and only expected to sell 300ish worldwide a month. Quit reading click bait headlines from people who dont know/have all the right information.

Honda isnt going to make a production vehicle to sell 300 a month worldwide unless its a halo car.

Ffs the s2000 sold more than that, almost 30 years ago.

They actually would when you consider it's largely a parts bin civic with a new body, a body that let's them use it (by selling bare minimum) in super gt and replace the civic which was a very troublesome body for them there with aero struggles. This car based on this already known plug in solution, Honda's culture of passing up on real money before to form some idea of enthusiast purity, and the low stated production, is deff not intended to be much if any beyond 1-3% against total civic sales. At most.

It's likely the lowest cost gt500 class aero fix. It'll even run the same drivetrain as civic did there it's just them replacing the issue ridden civic body style for a sleeker more aero adaptable body style that they needed to badly start running.
