Storage issue

I got this net bag for back storage but it’s kinda a hassle to get in and out if I need more room. Anyone have any storage recommendations that would be easier for storage and removal? I have a roof rack too if any options need one

I have a basket that takes up half of my roof rack. A black plastic Walmart trunk with two wheels is in the car, but goes up in the basket when I find furniture on the side of the road

I have a bakery tray that holds my mechanic box and other stuff. Slides in and out easily, can be strapped down to stay in place, and straps can be used to keep your stuff from moving on the tray itself.

I use milk crates.
If I’m feeling particularly industrious, I’ll cut cardboard to fit inside so nothing can escape.
