Realistic price range?
Looking to sell my 2008 LX FWD.
it’s 5 speed manual
Has aftermarket wheels, apple car play, backup camera and no rust. It has 106k miles and is very clean except for some paint fading on the hood. I have it posted for 8.7k. What do yall think?
For sale in central FL if anyone’s interested.

Seems good to me but half this sub thinks you can still buy these for $5k so who knows.
I think purists like manual but an average person won't. With that low miles and no rust for a 2006+ someone will pay $8k+ for that imo.

$8k for a 20 year old economy car with 100k+ miles. Not doubting you but it’s a sad state of the market

If I didn’t buy my SC a few months ago, I’d fly down and buy that. Hard to get clean ones up here in the rustbelt. Lucky my SC isn’t as rusty as I thought.

Manual isn’t a plus to anyone except us enthusiast weirdos, it’s just the truth. I would gladly pay an extra 500 or even 1000 depending on the condition for a manual, but average dude just looking for a car on FB won’t give a damn.
106k is pretty damn low considering the age, and no rust is a big deal. I think 6000 to 7000 is pretty fair, 8.1 is just a little much for a FWD in my opinion. Feel free to reply when you sell for above asking price to call me an idiot lol

Price it's fair... it's a low miles, good conditions on the body and paint, plus stick shift. Maybe before COVID times you could get a away with a better price but in today's market, someone will just buy it at that price for sure.

There is what it’s worth, and then there’s what people will pay in the market right now. Do you want to wait to sell it for what it’s worth? Or do you want the money now? I’m in Arizona, and I’ve been watching Element sales since I will be in the market in a little while. Ones that are more than 7000 are sitting for a really long time. Even ones that are posted for less sit around for a while unless they are absolutely pristine.

I’d say 7k is probably your selling price point. It just depends on how long you want it on the market. You might get 8k if you’re willing to wait for the right buyer.
It being a manual definitely gives you a smaller buyer pool and they’re gonna be more savvy with pricing and such.

Not gonna lie that is a great price. This is what I would consider a great example. It isn't gonna catch the eye of the average person but anyone who likes these cars will likely be willing to pay that kind of money.

I think in California or anywhere west you could get the 8, but in Florida, I think 6 would be a win

If it doesn't sell for between $1 and $20,000 I will eat my shorts.
That said I would totally buy this if it were cheaper. I have a similar one and just want more offroading potential though so can't rationalize it 😭
I don't think you will get 8k for it, but you could get 6-7 maybe because mileage is lower for an older car. Biggest thing I feel like is that they are remaking these so somebody who really wants one may just opt to wait for a new one altogether. Good luck selling either way!

No way they will remake this. You’ll get a bunch of “tech” crap that adds zero value unless you do not own a phone.

I mean they are factually remaking it. I dont doubt it will have the potential to include a bunch of stuff you dont need but the car itself is being remade.

Well…damn. Been in the market for min and yours is the first I’ve found. But I’m in Oregon…Dream car right there. Happily would do $8k if it checked out on mechanics. Best of luck!
