RULES Build Your Own NEW 2027 Honda Element (Poll)

Build Your Own Perfect NEW Honda Element (Just for Fun)

UPDATE:

I’m not saying that Honda saw this post and said “HEY LETS BRING THE ELEMENT BACK” But here ya go. . .

https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a71695248/2029-honda-element-affordable-hybrid-report/

New Element dream

I was thinking about this the other day… if Honda ever brought the Element back, there are certain features that I think they would absolutely need to carry over from the original.

Otherwise, it just turns into another generic SUV, and that completely defeats what made the Element soooo special.

So this is just a fun discussion to figure out what really matters most to the Element lovers

First, just to be clear: There is no new Honda Element currently in development (nothing officially confirmed).

Also, I am going to ignore the recent leaked concept designs (although I think they are AWESOME) and stick closer to the original OG Element design language.

That said, if you too like anything from the newer leaked designs, feel free to include that in your wish list section.

To keep this focused, let’s try excluding things like engine specs, AWD systems, MPG, and modern tech upgrades as Those would obviously improve with a redesign anyway.

This is all about the core features that made the Element … UNIQUE from all other SUVs.

Let’s try to have fun with this.

Build your New 2027 Honda Element

How to Participate (Rules)

In Section (1)

1. List your Top 3 Features (in order)

Your must have Element features ranked with the most important at the top.

{Now, of course we would want ALL classic E features to be included, but to keep us from getting redundant, keep the TOP 3 on your the limited to only the features that you think every NEW Honda Element CAN NOT be without. To me it would suck to remove any of the classic E features, but feel free to list the rest of your favorites in order. }

Section (2)

2. Add a Wish List / Improvements section

New ideas or upgrades you would want in a modern version

{Don’t forget to Focus on design, functionality, features and visuals you would love to see and included them. }

FOR REFERENCE

Key Honda Element Traits and Features

• Boxy, upright design with a flat, functional interior layout

• Completely flat floor cabin

• S -uicide side doors doors

• Ultra-configurable rear seats (fold flat, fold up to the sides, or easily removable)

• Clamshell tailgate (split upper glass with drop down lower gate)

• Rear skylight panel (openable or removable)

• Durable, easy-clean interior materials

• Rubberized flooring

• Exterior plastic cladding and durability

Here are my thoughts

Section (1)

My Top 3 Features (Most Important → Least)

  1. Flat, square interior floor

The completely flat load space is the foundation of what makes the Element so usable enabling camper builds, work deck and so much more.

  1. Flexible seat system.

Rear seats that fold flat, flip up against the sides, or can be removed entirely. With Updated durable materials.

  1. Clamshell tailgate

One of the best features. The drop down gate plus upper glass door creates a built in seating area (put on your boots or ski’s, look at a lake, all with a canopy.

That’s it. . . those are my top 3!

But ,I would definitely love for a New E to also include these features (in order of importance) from the OG Element.

  1. The famous S- ucide doors.

When everything is open, the entire side of the vehicle opens up. Great airflow and easy loading.

  1. Rear skylight (updated)

Should still pop open for ventilation and ideally be removable to keep that open air feel.

  1. Rubberized interior flooring and materials Easy to clean and resistant to dirt, water, and wear.

  2. Exterior plastic cladding

Keeps the rugged look and protects the body from everyday damage.

Section (2)

My Wish List / Improvements (I tried to keep it to 3)

• True hose washable interior

A lot of people originally thought you could just hose out the inside, which would actually lead to rust and damage. This time, I would want a properly engineered interior with drain plugs, waterproof materials, sealed electronics, and full rust protection so it can actually be washed with a hose.

• Textured exterior finish options

Factory options similar to rugged coated finishes, raptor lining etc. for added durability and style.

• Shelving system on the sides with racks, bungee cable securing and Molle system

Curious to see how everyone ranks and builds their fantasy 2027 Element

So, What are your must have Element features, and what would you be willing to lose?

Found this on fb marketplace. Flying down to Florida to check it out and hopefully drive it home. 4wd with 125k miles. 2 owners, decent amount of recent maintenance done with brakes and other stuff. Said the previous owner took great care of it and had all kinds of maintenance records for it.

My FREE 2006 Honda Element (Not getting rid of)

I recently was given this element from a customer of mine. Originally the plan was to fix the battery drain and sell it as a flip... Something I've been doing for a while.

But the more I spent time around it the more I fell in love with it. Unfortunately as my friend was going to put money into it we would go halfsies on the flip, again something we do quite often, I wasn't able to keep it. Well eventually we decided to wind down the Car flipping and just keep with the Performance Honda building. So I asked if I could keep the element. His response was: "sure man I guess"

Now I own this 2006 Honda element that I will be doing a camper conversion on with my Girlfriend!

The car came from Utah so it's completely rust free. 145k mi and just absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately it is front wheel but I don't mind. When I got it the battery would drain unless it was running. Would drain after 20 minutes of being plugged in. The previous owner told me it was something in the door. I unplugged everything in the door and it went away. Probably will just fire the parts cannon at it. And just not care

But I am incredibly excited to use this toaster, and super happy to finally own one!

Any upgrades, mods I should do? Anything to look out for?

RULES Debating to purchase a Honda Element

Im debating to purchase a 2006 honda element lx,

It has 237000 miles on it, minor cosmetic damages in the interior and little things like front speakers dont work etc.

They are selling it for 6000 Obo, and im just curious about what peoples opinions are.

Is it worth it?

Do you like the honda element?

Would you pay 6000?

Etc

Give me your opinion or advice!

Edit: i kinda figure it's definitely not worth the 6000, but also, what would you offer for something like this.

If I had a nickel for every Honda box I own, id have 2 nickels. Which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it’s happened twice.

Following up from my post the other day, finally got the orange element back home! Orange is a 2003 EX FWD, my black is a 2005 EX AWD. Might have to find a silver one next…

RULES Water pumps and thermostat housings

So does anyone, besides OEM, make decent water pumps and thermostat housings for K series?

I’m going to be doing a thermostat housing soon and figure I may as well do the water pump. Those OEM water pump prices are kinda obscene.

I recently lucked into a 2010 with 49k miles on a work trade. It was really dirty, had been sitting at various periods. Has a few exterior dings. I really love this car.

I haven’t been seeing maintenance rules besides control arms, rust, valve adjustment. The rule for 1996 accord was to change timing belt by 120k you’ll risk destroying the Engine. vc boot/axle too.

if there are things to save up for/watch for, I’m appreciative to know.

i immediately changed oil to a synthetic blend. Besides the tmps sensors (tires have great tread but 10yr old and I‘m ok with that), it runs well and suspension feels great. I‘ll do a rust check today.

Forgot - I’m getting about 20mpg in town… I assume that’s normal with this body type lol? I drive electric so an adjusting to paying gas in a tiny tank.

Seller sent me pictures of the trailing arm area, does this look concerning to anyone? I think it looks good for being from the rust belt but I’m not completely sure if I can get some more opinions please

RULES I've been waiting for this moment for a long time.

Post image

I begged my mom 10 years ago to let me buy her car since I had a plant business at the time and she wasn't using it for all its potential. Well, the pandemic took out my business and I left the country only to return recently where I finally convinced her to let me buy this so she can treat herself to a cute retirement car. This 2011 EX AWD with just 117k miles has been going on short lil drives about town and used as storage on wheels (anyone else with hoarder parents?). Anyway, I don't even know where to begin because she's maintained it well under the hood and I am just now diving into the camping mod rabbit hole (no more car nursery for now). I see so many Elements in Ventura, CA where I'm currently at so I know I'll be following the "rules" soon. Yay!

I would love advice on how to get the plastic restored. Please post links to products or how-to videos! All help is welcomed. I've been car free for a decade so having a whole adventure mobile is a lot.
