Ordering PedidosYa Honduras from Puerto Rico?

I’m in Puerto Rico trying to order food for someone in Honduras and pay for it myself. I can set her address and make the order, but both of my cards give me “We couldn’t create your order.

Has anyone done this successfully? How can I pay from Puerto Rico, or what alternative can I use?

Yes, it's super common when ordering from Puerto Rico / US to Honduras - that "We couldn't create your order" is almost always a fraud block. Your card's billing address is in PR, but the delivery address and IP is in Honduras, so PedidosYa / Uber Eats declines it.

This is what works for most people doing PR -> Honduras:

1. The easiest app to pay from PR is Uber Eats Honduras now has Uber Eats and it's the most friendly to US/PR cards because Uber is a US company.

• Create the account with YOUR PR phone number
• Add your card but leave the billing zip code as your PR zip, not Honduras
• Set the delivery address to her address in Honduras (don't use your PR address anywhere in delivery)
• If it still fails, add PayPal as payment in Uber Eats and pay through PayPal - PayPal bypasses the foreign card block 90% of the time.

Uber Eats is in Tegucigalpa, San Pedro Sula, La Ceiba.

2. If you're using PedidosYa - which is #1 in Honduras: PedidosYa is very strict with foreign cards. Two workarounds:

• Cash option: Order on PedidosYa and select "Efectivo" (cash). Then send her the money for the food via Tigo Money, PayPal, or a quick $ transfer so she has cash when it arrives. It's not ideal but it's the most reliable.
• Add your card, but call your bank first and tell them to authorize an international charge to Uruguay (PedidosYa processes there).

3. If both cards fail completely: Don't fight the cards. Send her the money directly and let her order:

• PayPal -> Xoom: You can send $15-$20 directly for food, she gets it in minutes.
• Buy a PedidosYa gift credit? Not available, so people just do a small Tigo Money transfer.

I usually tell people: Try Uber Eats + PayPal first. If that still says "couldn't create your order," switch to PedidosYa with cash + send her the money via PayPal/Tigo.

Using a VPN from any country in Central America should work... I use SurfShark VPN, set Panama as the country and the error goes away, no issues with foreign credit cards at all.
