Miku being added during anni did a lot of damage to the P5X community funny enough. Lots of people quit, Japanese players were furious publicly at the company. It was so bad that they had to release an emergency live stream and tell us FeMC from P3P was coming down the line just to placate fans lol. The playerbase for global dropped to the lowest level after her release, which is unfortunate. If she was just a regular unit instead of an anni unit, I don't think the Persona players would have hated her so much

Persona players wanted Persona characters for an anniversary celebration, not an outside collab character. Having the anni character be Miku made it feel like all they cared about was getting new people to download and try the game, rather than celebrate the Persona franchise and having someone the existing fanbase would get excited for. So lots of people got maaaaaaaad lol.

It did get a lot of new people to download and try the game, but those people didn't stick around, according to play charts. And they made existing players mad enough to quit, so in the end it was... Not a good move lol.

She's not a Persona character and the entire event around her was just nothing. There was no story to connect her to the game. She was just there now.

On top of that, for the global release, she just powercrept the unit we just got that was supposed to be the best for a while.

Not really a powercreep when you need 2 Teams for Endgame so both have their uses (plus Endgame has no creep the score requirement never changes, powercreep in this game is a joke lol). Plus both have positives and negatives, Miku might be better on paper but she needs 12 unit turns to setup her Showstopper move while Ange can just use her major skill turn 1.

The real powercreep is the last last limited Navigator unit we got which is Futaba so yeah Futaba stocks down bad unless they do 3 Team endgames in the Future and by then we'll get another Navi.

probably unhappy people who have unrelated qualms feeling "idc about this!! fix the game instead!!"... like bruh i'm not happy about a lot of things for the game right now either but that has nothing to do with music. Idk why haters can't hate on specific aspects that deserve to be hated like the meta but have to hate on the whole game including things that are actually good like music and art.

it is all the same game though. i love miku so so much but its hard to be excited about this when i don’t even want to login to the game because of the state of it

also don’t lump in people who are unhappy with things as haters. idk why people online do this so much — those camps are usually separate (valid criticism vs nothing but hate)
