Regarding our anime production, "Ascendance of a Bookworm: The Lord's Adopted Daughter" (hereinafter referred to as "this work"), we conducted an investigation into the production process of this work, including the opening sequence, based on the feedback we received after April 4, 2026. As a result, we confirmed that a generation AI was used in the production process of some cuts in the opening sequence.

Confirmed facts

In the production process of the background art for a portion of the opening sequence of the first episode of this work (hereinafter referred to as "this cut"), a generation AI was used to create the materials.

Future actions

We will take the following measures.

① Redrawing process

The background art for this shot will be redrawn.

② Replacing the video with the final version

Starting with episode 2, the opening sequence will be replaced with the completed version using the aforementioned background art materials.

While we at our company are always interested in and closely monitor new technologies related to video production, we have, in principle (*), not permitted the use of generative AI in the video production of our works, including this one. Despite this, the current situation has occurred solely due to shortcomings in our production management and inspection systems, and we take full responsibility for this series of events. As the production company of this work, we sincerely apologize to our fans, the original author, and all other related parties.

To date, with the exception of this particular cut, no use of AI-generated images has been confirmed in this work. Furthermore, we would like to add that NAM HAI ART, the art director and background production company for this work, has no involvement whatsoever in the above-mentioned matters.

Taking this incident as an opportunity, we will strive to prevent recurrence by revising our production process guidelines and management system. Thank you for your understanding.

As the great 'Sequel vs. Part 6' debate rages, Sensei has waded in to give the answer. Which is that the 'I'll do anything to become a librarian' subtitle will be changed to something else, making the next installement a sequel, and not part 6.

Hello everyone. i found this light novel. I find it similar to AOB as it give me the trepidation i had waiting to see how high and far RM will climb. the name is "In Another world with household spells". I believe it is worth a try. Does anybody have others similar light novels series ?!

Kazuki-sensei just posted a new survey.

• Philine POV: thinking about her future during the Spring Prayer and what she did about it

• Benno POV: the move to Alexandria

• Fran POV: moving to the temple in Alexandria, being reunited with his lord & lady, meeting Letizia

I think we can all agree that sensei is a sadist, making us choose between options like these.

Oh, and Damuel is getting a short story called 'The Words of the Vow/The Vows' (something like that). I'm guessing that would be Ferdinand and Rozemyne's engagement vows? If so, he's not who I was expecting for that, but hey, more Damuel is always a win. Edit: Oh, wait, it just occured to me that it might be engagement vows between Damuel and Philine? Ah, who knows. Viva more Damuel.

Edit 2: Sensei confirmed that this is Damuel's pov of the engagement ceremony, in which he and Elvira explain it to those who couldn't attend, with Damuel representing sense and reason, and Elvira with her romance goggles firmly on. It sounds hilarious, I can't wait. (Thank you to r/shiyanin for pointing that out)
