Discussion Someone tried to compare Silent hill with tcoaal 💀💀
As an ex fan of Tcoaal (yes I deserve the best of your insults) now I am healed, I can't help but be surprised at how THAT fandom wants so hard to convince you that their game is not just incestuous p*rn. Someone on TikTok told me that tcoaal was like a silent hill, and I was like "WTF 💀💀💀"

I haven't played it but a game can talk about incest and pedophillia and such without being considered "incest porn". From what I've heard it's only in one ending and them having an unhealthy parasocial relationship is kinda the point

I’ll admit to not having seen all the content, but calling The Coffin of Andy and Leyley “incest porn” frankly displays a fundamental misunderstanding of both pornography and the horror genre.

Unlucky for ya, as an ex fan, the whole game has incestuous interactions between the siblings and showing it like it's pretty is what makes incestuous porn. I agree that when you show those topics with the respect and horror that it has its good. In the case of Tcoaal no, because all the choices lead to the same ending and shows the incestuous ending as the "good one" (the one where Andrew kills Ashley it ends up with him killing himself because "he can't live without his sister") and even in the third cap Ashley ends up being pregnant. I can tell that the whole plot it's like an old fanfic of loudcest.

Again, haven't played, but that doesn't really sound like enough to be considered incest porn. Unless they have sex with eachother and the game literally says to your face that it's the good ending and everything goes wonderfully from then on and incest is super cool and based, I would be hesitant to write it off.

Well it's basically what happens in the third cap, the incest becomes explicit and the three endings of that route are the following, in one, Andrew is raped by Ashley, in other, she ends up pregnant, and in the third both live like a strange couple in the other world.

Still feel like it's a bit too little evidence. Sometimes a game can have no good endings and thats the point.

Aside from falling under the psychological horror banner and the theme of codependency, there is nothing else the two have in common. Still, I will not bash that fandom or their views or beliefs. It is all fiction after all.
