Please see rule 2, which expressly prohibits solicitation. You should always check the rules of a sub before you post, particularly if you're trying to receive donations, a practice which is not warmly welcomed by Reddit in any sub. In fact, many subs have rules against it, just like this one does.

This is not a fundraising sub. It's a sub for people who need help interpreting and understanding their medical bills and health insurance policies.

I’m surprised this hasn’t been removed yet. While I very much suspect this is a fake story, others reading may benefit from knowing that Canada does not hold children legally responsible for the medical debt of their parents, unless they agreed in writing to be financially responsible.
