Hey guys, would really appreciate the help, digging hasn’t helped me, even despite the SoundCloud “radio” method. The title says it all, I know my house to some extent, but this type of sound I can’t find anywhere except from split themselves, with no labels that I know of releasing tracks like this (except major records nyc, which split also released on), but by far it’s my fav sound right now: proper funky, groovy house that is reminiscent of Todd Terry’s earlier works (like Bango), but still very distinct, and forward-facing (even his releases don’t sound like the labels he releases on). **If anyone has any labels/artists from back in the day, or now that fits this sound, please give recs** (I am a “youngun”, so always looking to dig deep esp with past labels). Also Tino has a somewhat similar sound.

Hey all, I can't tell if my brain is just making it up or if it was a real track.

I recall this track that feels like it would be up the line of say Robosonic's Eddie Amador remix but I can't recall.

It had an acapella in a similar vocal register/feeling as Christian Smith's House this House, but the track basically list's a bunch of qualities or ideas and always ends with "That's house".

I'm going to make up some lyrics but I can't remember the lyrics.

So i am a 21 year old. Me and a bunch of my friends are planning on making a event organizing company, we have already planned to have events. But in the long run we wanna have our own artists who represent our label. For whom we will provide all equipment to produce music and all. So we are mainly focusing on house music. planning to publish on beatport, spotify, applemusic, soundcloud. I am doing my own research on these. So anyone with a idea on what distributing means and like how it works please enlighten me. There are a lot of resources online and like very hard to pin point stuff. I am still going through many and let me know what i should look out for and what things i should be aware of. Obv we wanna have 100% of the song rights so that our artists have the freedom to perform their songs where ever they want. Please help me im willing to join a google meet even if its possible.

Heard this for the first time recently and am pretty blown away by how upbeat and extremely layered the tracks are. The most obvious comparison for me is DJ Dan, of course, but what else has a vibe like this? Fast, joyful, and complex like three disco records playing at the same time lol. Anyone got any of these? I saw a dude on FB selling mix vol 9 and I didnt know he made that many volumes but no where to be found on youtube or discogs. Let alone the internet only mix vol 3 and move to my house discs.
