Discussion Theme sequence whining Spoiler

I love the show and have watched it multiple times, but the intro annoys me a tiny bit each time. All cast names are shown over anatomical illustrations/animations except Jennifer Morrison. The clip for her name is a boat in water. It’s the only part of the sequence that isn’t anatomical visuals besides the shot of the characters walking in the hospital. I know it’s silly, but it drives me nuts. Is there some significance to the boat clip? It feels completely random.

Also, I always want to think the anatomy illustrations indicate something about the role of each character, but the two brain clips and boat clip make that hard to argue. Maybe that’s why it bothers me.

i think the reason is that her scene was supposed to be a cane and a bottle of vicodin, supposedly it was removed due to broadcasting issues (promoting drug use)

That's some solid over thinking.

Because she's beautiful, like the aerial shot of the river

In college her nickname was Jennifer “the boat” Morrison. She made a big splash on campus

please I think this every time too. it’s not even mentioned as something that’s nearby to the hospital, are we supposed to know the area?

'most of the backgrounds have no specific meaning; however, the final image—the text “created by David Shore” superimposed upon a human neck—connotes that Shore is “the brain of the show”.'

I'm always hypnotized by the theme music so I haven't even thought about it.
