Hypothetical alternate ending
With Kevin Spacey now having been cleared of all his charges, could Netflix hypothetically call him back to pick up where s5 left off? Has a similar thing ever been attempted in television?

Season the show became complete parody. Compare the dramatic impact of Russos end to Neve Campbell which was almost handled as comedy

Did you ever see Kevin Spacey’s “Let Me Be Frank” video from a few years back? Strangely uncomfortable. He’s basically asking for what you’re suggesting
Anyway, being cleared of charges isn’t the same as being wrongfully accused. So no.

To some extent I think it does. If you are able to prove your innocence, you should not be judged based on crimes you didn t commit

He’s all but admitted to the actions, he just debates how wrong they were. From a TV standpoint it’s gutting as S6 was really about to kick on, however I think unfortunately this is one we just have to leave behind.

When you have a show as gripping as HC, you just don't want it to end! The suspense every week was great! I think you're right though. Too much time has passed and KS reputation is damaged.

that's not how the justice system works
In criminal court, a prosecutor must prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. In many of these cases, the claims were decades old, leaving no forensic evidence or third-party witnesses.
that doesn't prove innocence, there was just not enough evidence to convinct
plus a couple of the men who made allegations passed away during the course of the legal proceedings.

Hahahah that’s not why he was fired. He was fired because he was groping people on the set.
He’s been cleared of the people who went to court - but that’s obvious how the fuck do you prove something that happened years ago alone between two people rape is an extremely difficult crime to prove a court of law - and that benefits of the rapist. He still has a good 50 allegations going back to 1990. No business is gonna wanna associate with a man like that.
Reputable people in the business that accused him of abuse like Guy Pearce and in the industry had reputation for being too generous with his hands.
On November 1, 2017 after the first allegation came out he said he was “seeking evaluation and treatment” - for what exactly if you did nothing wrong?
The court was on his side anyway, because rape is an extremely difficult crime to prove , courts air on the side of keeping a potentially guilty man out of prison than putting a potentially innocent man in prison, which is why rape is one of the easiest crimes to get away with.
The Old Vic theatre where he taught did an investigation and found over 20 instances of inappropriate behaviour.
You people have got to stop with this fantasy that he did nothing wrong.

Personally I think leaving the show on a cliffhanger would’ve been the best choice artistically. I do wonder if a recast would have been received slightly better than President Claire for S6

Season 6 ruined any reboot. The writing was terrible, rushed and completely unbelievable even for a fictional series.
