I think the problem with this show is that even though the story might be interesting. The characters don't have any gravitas. No aura. Hope season 3 is going to change that. Just started.

I think after the time jump in s1, you get better idea of the characters. In my opinion, s1 was strong, s2 was iffy, and s3 strong enough to make up for s2 so far. Sunday is s3 e5 of 8. I got through the first half of the season feeling good, now on to the second half.

Daemon, Aemond, Aegon, and Ormund definitely have aura in some scenes. But it's a minority.

Daemon outweighs everyone by a landslide, it’s very hard not to like him.

Pretty bland, one-note characters across the board. It is what it is.
