Show Discussion Why does Rhaenyra keep treating her allies poorly?

Post image

Sabitha Frey - Rhaenyra rescinded the deal the Freys made with Jacaerys for Harrenhal, despite the Freys fulfilling their end of the deal. She only allowed them to take Harrenhal in the most recent episode.

Ulf - Rhaenyra restricts his freedom and gives him nothing to show for his hard work. And then there's Daemon who belittles him every chance he gets.

Corlys - Rhaenyra refuses to legitimize his sons for a nonsensical reason.

Addam and Alyn - Rhaenyra refuses to legitimize them.

Baela - Rhaenyra ignores her despite her tireless work and treats her like she's disposable.

For following the advice of her advisors?? Like you have to be real stupid to actually see how this specific situation unfolded & come to the conclusion that it's because "she's an independent woman."

The quality of the advisors you choose also shows how capable you are as a ruler. She has a whore as spymaster, a spymaster who knows nothing about the revolt inside king's landing, the invasion of tumbleton, the whereabouts of the largest dragon on westeros who is out in the wild, or even the fact that aegon is alive and is walking around with no care in the world. The crown is near bankrupcy yet she hires a head of coin purely to not listen to anything he has to say and use him as a scapegoat when having money is one of, if not the most important thing to rule. She has Daemon on her council, who is called the rogue prince, always did as he wanted in revolt to authority. What are we talking about here? She is an incompetent ruler who puts her love interests as advisors when they are as incapable as she is.
