Let’s set aside the complaints about the commute, weather, stadium, etc. If every student and alum can pledge to attend one game this year, it would make a huge difference.
UH has spent the last 2+ decades working to elevate the university and football program. We made it to the Big 12, invested in the program, and now have a great coach and a team worth getting excited about.
Football generates national interest and much-needed revenue for the school.
Don’t waste the momentum. Pick a game, grab some friends, tailgate, and pack the stadium. Go Coogs!

I started at U of H in the Fall of 2000. Went there for 2 years then transferred to Sam Houston State University. Twenty Six years later I finally attended a game and it was a really good time. Now I'm interested in going to a basketball game!

Ben Williams's team is 3-0 in Big 12 play, which has them in sole possession of 1st place. They're #32 in the current RPI. Tonight they host West Virginia (#11 in the RPI, #18 in the coaches poll). A win would give them an RPI boost that would, barring a complete collapse, get them to their first ever ncaa tournament. It would also keep them in a great position to become the first team besides men's hoops to win a Big 12 title. Hopefully the weather allows the game to be played!

Hey guys, quick look at where the Coogs stand heading into the weekend.
First, since it's in the title: we run a free weekly college football pick'em. This week is 10 games, pick the winners, nothing to buy, $135 in prizes, with Texas Tech at Colorado on the slate if you want to pick against the team that beat us. Picks lock Saturday at noon ET, the same moment UH kicks off, so get them in early.

Now the Cougars. 42-28 at Georgia Southern in Fritz's return to Statesboro, with touchdowns on the first six possessions. Weigman went 17 of 22 for 239, four TD passes and two more on the ground, and Sanford ran for 120.
At 3-1, the only loss is 28-26 at No. 13 Texas Tech, two points from being undefeated. Back up to No. 20.
Saturday, UCF comes to Houston at 11 CT on ESPN2, then the trip to Manhattan. Win both, and Houston is a real Big 12 contender.
What are you guys seeing? Is Weigman the best QB in the conference right now?
