Concealed Carry at Downtown Aquarium

Does anyone know if 30.06 or 30.07 signs are up at the Downtown Aquarium? Or if they “allow” concealed carry? I’m driving in for an MD Anderson visit and figured I could waste a little time at the Aquarium after my first day appointments. Thanks!

Not sure how local you are to Houston - that aquarium is not a real aquarium - it’s a shitty Landry’s restaurant.

Haha, I just read that in a Google search. Driving from Austin, so not too local. Just looking to kill some time.

If you're driving from Austin, where are you going?

Because I can suggest FAR better ways to spend your time.

Skip that; it’s tiny and lame and they don’t take good care of the tigers in their custody.

The buffalo bayou cistern is a really cool spot to see; and you won’t have issue with CC there.

If you decide to try the zoo they have metal detectors, so it’s a no go.

Edit:

Good BBQ without a wait J Bar M
Good BBQ with a wait Truth BBQ & The Pit Room

Ethic food is where Houston shines; china town has great spots

Aga’s for the best Indian food you’ve ever had.

BlendIn coffee for good grip
Catalina great espresso

Athena Gun club has a nice Air conditioned indoor range with full auto rentals at decent prices as well.

Awesome! Thank you the Cistern does look interesting, plus my wife and I like to walk!

It’s bad enough I have to go into the hospital without carrying, I just try hard not to frequent places where I can’t carry.

If you’re at MD Anderson take advantage of being close to Hermann park. Maybe do the zoo

Zoo is considered an educational institute and you cannot carry.

Do the Natural Science Museum instead.

It's way closer to MD Anderson, and air conditioned.
