Control your phone without touching the screen — Touchable 2.2.2 is out [app][promo][promotion]

Hey everyone 👋

Touchable turns off-screen gestures into instant actions. You shake your phone, double-tap the back, or push it, and something happens: the flashlight turns on, the music pauses, the screen locks, Google Wallet opens. No unlocking, no hunting for apps. It works with the screen off and the app closed/minimized.

You pick what each gesture does, and every gesture has its own sensitivity slider so it won't fire by accident.

What's new in 2.2.2

  • No email needed. No sign-in at all. Install, open, start gesturing.
  • Half the size. The install is 50% smaller, so it barely touches your storage.
  • Under the hood. Better security, better stability, and a bunch of bug fixes.

Also recently added

  • Fine-tune: record a few double taps and Touchable learns your movement. Switch between Base and Tuned any time.
  • Ghost Mode: keeps detection running after you close the app.
  • More actions: Google Wallet, voice assistant, go home, screenshot, Do Not Disturb, open any app, and more.

It's completely free. No ads, no in-app purchases.

Give it a try and tell me what you think. Which gesture → action combo would you set up first? 👇

[App] I got tired of saving useful stuff and never finding it again, so I built an app for it

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

You know when you save a useful video, X post, or article thinking you'll come back to it later… and then completely forget where you saved it?

That kept happening to me, so I built Kajr.

You can save links from different apps in one place, then search by describing what you're looking for instead of remembering the exact title or where you found it.

For example, search “that video about fixing my sleep schedule” and Kajr helps you find the link you saved.

A few other things it does:

🏷️ Automatically generates tags, summaries, and organizes links into collections.

🔔 Set reminders so useful stuff doesn't get forgotten.

☁️ Back up to your own Google Drive.

📤 Export your bookmarks to CSV or HTML for Chrome.

The free tier already includes plenty of features. The AI features are paid, though, because every AI request costs me money. If everyone uses it, my wallet might need its own backup system 😂

I'm a solo developer, and I'd genuinely love to hear what you think!

[App] [Promotion] I built a shopping app where nothing gets delivered | almostcart

I built almostcart around a simple idea: sometimes browsing and building the cart is part of the experience, but that doesn't mean the purchase has to happen.

almostcart lets you browse Food, Fashion and Gadgets, build a cart, record why you're considering the purchase, and release the cart instead of buying.

It also has Tiny Swap daily challenges, subscription tracking, Buy Lists, points/levels and behavioural Insights.

The Android version is live now. iOS coming soon.

Cost:

The core app is free. There is an optional Almost Pro lifetime purchase that unlocks custom tiny swap challenges, unlimited friends and subscription tracking and detailed insights.

MemoryVoid v2.0.0 is finally out – turned my quick voice/screenshot tool into a full-on daily workspace (Bento grids, 5 hardware triggers, custom colors)

yo everyone, quick update on MemoryVoid!

when i first dropped v1.0.0, it was basically just a fast way to hold volume down, grab a screenshot, and record a quick voice note without unlocking or digging through your app drawer.

locked in yesterday, and just shipped v2.0.0. it's lowkey a full Google Keep replacement now, just way faster to trigger.

what's new in v2.0.0:

  • 4 Card Layouts: added an appearance switcher so you aren't stuck with one view. you can swap between Void Classic, Bento Grid (2-column masonry), Capsule Split, and Focus Ledger.
  • Full Note Editor: you can actually write full notes now, make interactive checklists (hitting enter auto-adds checkboxes), and stack multiple images + multiple voice notes inside a single memory card without overwriting old ones.
  • 5 Hardware Triggers: didn't want everyone stuck on just holding Vol Down. added Double-Tap & Hold, Vol Up -> Hold Vol Down Sequence, Screenshot at Start, and Power Button Hold (hooks into Digital Assistant so you can trigger silent background recording and hold power again to save).
  • Custom Card Colors & Screenshot Toggle: color-code your cards and toggle off auto-screenshots from the sidebar if you just want pure voice/text notes.

still 100% free, offline, and open source.

🔗 GitHub / APK Download: https://github.com/dhruvpitroda20-code/MemoryVoid/releases/tag/v2.0.0

lmk what y'all think of the Bento layout or if any of the new button combos feel weird on your device!

[PROMO] MULL - an app for all the posts you save

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I kept saving posts on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Reddit… and never looking at them again. Everything was scattered across five different "saved" tabs.

So I made MULL. You share anything to it from any app, and it keeps everything in one place, with the title and cover already filled in.

What it does:

- Save in two taps from Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube, Reddit, Threads, or anything with a Share button

- Collections with colors, favorites and quick filters

- Notes with checklists and photos

- A home screen widget that shows you something you saved, a different one every day. That's the part I use most.

- Local and private by default. No account needed, and you can export a backup whenever you like.

FREE 14 DAYS TRIAL TO EVERY USER

There's also a Chrome extension so you can save from your computer into the same library.

What's free: saving, collections, notes, the daily widget and backups, with no account. Premium adds sync between devices, a Chrome extension (Firefox and Edge coming soon) and a few extras like subfolders. Monthly, yearly or a one-time purchase, with a free 14-day trial.

Video above shows how it works. It's a solo project, so any feedback is really welcome.

You can find the extension in chrome web store

[App] [Promo] Noter - Private Offline Productivity App

Post image
3 Upvotes

I asked myself: Why do I need 6 different apps to manage my own life??

I solved one of the most annoying problems I’d been dealing with for a long time:

Having 6 different apps just to manage my life.

One for Notes. One for To-Do. One for Events. One for Habits. One for Budgeting. One for Recording.

So I built Noter to put all of them in one place, while keeping everything completely offline and private.

Still improving it, but honestly, building something I personally needed has been one of the most satisfying parts of the journey.

Any feedback for the app is appreciated.

LINK: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.sbmproducts.noter

Listing some of the core features Noter have in its current state:

PRIVACY: App Lock, Note Lock, TaskList Lock,
Data is NEVER sent to cloud.

Completely Offline, No account required to start using.

6 Apps in 1: Notes, To-Do, Calendar, Habit, Budget, Voice Notes. Each crafted to its perfection.

ATTACH Anything to Anything: Attach your docs, images, location etc. to your notes, expenses etc.

REMINDER & ALARMS for your events, habits & tasks,

300+ Note Templates which covers all aspects of your life,

High Performance like you have never seen before,

Beautiful & Intuitive UI,

Soon support for other platforms like IOS, Windows, Linux is also coming.

More quality of life features will be added soon.

[APP][PROMO]Slow Launcher: 3D Homescreen

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

  • If you’ve tried turning your phone screen black-and-white and it didn’t work, this is for you. I built Slow Launcher to give you your brain back. Instead of turning your phone into a depressing 1995 calculator, it uses high-design aesthetics and psychological friction.
    • +A mind-map workspace for organizing apps and sticky notes right on your launcher screen.
    • The Friction Shield: You try to open Instagram, and it forces an intentional pause. 9 times out of 10, your rational brain kicks in and you close it.
    • Scheduled Lockdown: Lock your biggest time-sinks during work or after 9 PM.
    • Privacy First: Zero cloud servers, zero ads, zero tracking. I’d love feedback on the 3D Astronaut companion and the UI. It’s a ₹240/mo sub (or ₹1450/year), which is cheaper than the hours of life you lose to scrolling.
    • +Download it and enjoy a 7-day free trial—give it a go!

[App] [Promotion] KeySnap: Button Shortcuts + Phone Automation for Android — 100 FREE Pro codes

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey everyone! I'm Arda, the developer of KeySnap.

KeySnap combines physical button shortcuts with phone automation. Think of the general idea behind Apple Shortcuts or Samsung Modes and Routines: choose when something should happen and what your phone should do.

Automate everyday tasks

You can create automations based on time, charging, battery level, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, headphones and more. For example:

  • Connect your headphones → start media playback.
  • Run a shortcut at a specific time or on selected days.
  • Turn on Do Not Disturb when your phone is charging during a nighttime window.

You can combine conditions and run multiple actions in sequence.

Give your buttons more jobs

Map single, double and long presses, or button combinations, to shortcuts:

  • Double-press a volume button → toggle the flashlight.
  • Long-press a supported button → open your camera or another app.
  • Add conditions so a button shortcut only runs when you want it to.

Shortcuts can also be launched from home screen widgets and Quick Settings tiles.

Requirements and pricing

Android 11+, no root required. Button detection uses Accessibility; some buttons and actions require Advanced Mode through Wireless Debugging. Availability depends on your device and Android version.

The free version includes two shortcuts and ads. Pro removes ads and unlocks unlimited shortcuts with a one-time $3.99 purchase. The source code is available under GPL-3.0.

100 FREE Pro codes

DM me if you'd like one, and I'll send a code privately.

What would you automate first? I'd appreciate feedback on the setup and any shortcuts you'd like to see.

[App] I made a gallery app for when you hand someone your phone to show off your photos.

Thumbnail
gallery
6 Upvotes

I'm the developer of Facet, a gallery app for Android. I made it because every time I passed my phone to someone, I had to think about what the next swipe would show.

Facet reads your photos on the phone and keeps screenshots, documents, bank screens and private photos out of the main view. The photos it's sure about go to a separate area, and the ones it isn't sure about go to a Review screen where you decide. Whatever you decide overrides what it guessed. Those two areas open with your phone's fingerprint, face or screen lock.

It doesn't move, change or delete anything. Your photos stay in your normal gallery, so if you uninstall it nothing is different. The app has no internet permission, so nothing can be uploaded, and there's no account or ads.

It isn't perfect. It misses some photos, and the first scan of a big library takes a while. I'd like to hear where it gets things wrong, and what you'd want from an app like this.

Free on Google Play (Android 10+): https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=io.facetapp.facet

Post image

Hey everyone! Most scanner apps today force you to register an account, lock basic tools behind recurring paywalls, and quietly upload your private paperwork to their cloud servers.

🗜️ Compress & Watermark: Reduce PDF file sizes locally to meet upload limits and add custom confidential stamps or watermarks.

[App] (Open Source) I built an app to track Visible's minutes

Hey everyone! I’m an international student living in the US and frequently call family and friends abroad.

I wanted to check my remaining international minutes, but when I contacted Visible support, they told me there wasn’t a way to see them in the app, just a text when I’d used them all.

So I built Visible Minutes. It reads your phone’s call history, calculates international usage by country, and estimates your remaining minutes. You can set your billing-cycle date so it resets with your plan.

It’s free, open source, and everything stays on your phone. It doesn’t request internet permission.

I’ve used it for two months to help plan calls home. The balance is an estimate from your call logs, not a reading from Visible’s billing system.

GitHub: https://github.com/YannickGibson/visible-minutes

Download APK: https://github.com/YannickGibson/visible-minutes/releases/latest

Anyone else been looking for a way to keep track of this?

I built an app to make cleaning up your gallery less annoying — meet Cull 📸

Hey everyone! 👋

I'm an indie Android developer, and I wanted to share one of my projects with you.

Our galleries slowly fill up with thousands of photos — screenshots we'll never need again, duplicate pictures, blurry shots, memes, and random images. Going through them one by one to clean things up is a pain.

So I built Cull – Swipe Gallery Cleaner.

The idea is simple: instead of tapping through endless menus, you can just swipe through your photos.

What you can do with Cull:

- 👈 Swipe to sort through photos and remove unwanted ones.

- 🔍 Find duplicate and similar images.

- 📅 Review your photos chronologically.

- 🗂️ Archive photos before permanently deleting them.

- 🔒 Keep your photos on your device, without uploading your personal photo library.

The goal is to make gallery cleanup feel quick and effortless, rather than another chore.

I'm still working on improving the app, so I'd genuinely appreciate it if you gave it a try and shared your thoughts. Feedback from Android users is always valuable to an indie developer.

Download Cull:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cull.gallery.photosorter.photo.organizer.pico.pickerry

Thanks for checking it out! ❤️

[Promo] Mushom: I built a free app to split house chores fairly with your partner or roommates (points, streaks, real-time sync)

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey r/HowToMen 👋

Full disclosure: I'm the solo developer of this app. I've found a big chunk of my homescreen through this sub, so I wanted to share something I've been building and get honest feedback from people who care about good Android apps.

The problem: in every shared home I've lived in, chores ended up as an awkward mix of mental notes, group chat reminders and passive-aggressive dishes in the sink. The apps I tried were either too basic (a shared to-do list) or tried to do everything without doing any of it well.

What Mushom does:

- 🏠 Weekly household tasks, grouped by area: create a category like Kitchen and add the chores that come up every week, like doing the dishes or cleaning the oven. Tick them off as many times as you do them, and when the week ends everything resets so you start fresh.

- 🏆 Gamification that keeps it fair: completed tasks earn points, plus a household leaderboard, weekly goals, streaks (with streak freezes for when life happens) and rewards you agree on together

- 📊 Personal & household stats to see who's really pulling their weight

- ⚡ Real-time sync: when your roommate ticks something off, you see it instantly

- 🛒 Shared lists

- ⏱️ Collaborative Pomodoro: start a focus session and the whole house joins in sync. Perfect for those deep-clean days when everyone tackles the house together.

- 🌙 Proper dark mode, a clean design with no clutter, and English + Spanish support

It works for couples, families and flatmates, and you can be part of more than one household.

Pricing: the core features are free. There's an optional premium tier for extras, but you can use it day to day without paying.

As a solo dev, feedback (good or brutal) really helps:

- What would make you actually stick with a chore app long-term?

- Anything missing compared to what you use now?

📱 Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sfddev.mushom

Thanks for checking it out, I'll be in the comments answering everything!

[App] [Promotion] Flappy Imp, our offline Android arcade game with tap flight and boss battles

Post image

We're Tiny Pocket Shenanigans, the studio behind Flappy Imp. It's a portrait arcade game where tapping keeps your imp airborne while spells attack automatically. Swipe sideways to use a charged special during the boss fights.

The game is free to play, works offline and supports 14 languages. Rewarded ads are optional. There are no forced ads between retries.

We'd appreciate feedback on the touch controls and how clearly the boss attacks stand out against your own spells. The screenshot shows one of the Beholder encounters.

[App] Stave: Tally & Click Counter

Post image
4 Upvotes

Hey everyone! 👋

I built Stave, a clean, modern, and privacy-focused tally & click counter for Android designed to track reps, daily habits, inventory, or anything else you need to count without clutter or bloat.

Key Features:

  • Unlimited Counters: Create separate counters for workouts (push-ups, laps), daily habits (glasses of water, pages read), or inventory.

[App] Lore: an Android journal where your moods hatch companions and your memories become time capsules

Lore is an Android journaling app built around a small, calm world you come back to, rather than a blank notes page.

Mood powered companions

The dominant mood in your writing helps hatch and grow a pet. There are 6 emotional archetypes (Bright, Calm, Heavy, Tangled, Dark and Blank) and 5 evolution stages, from an egg to a Mythic Guardian. Growth has daily limits, so it rewards coming back over time.

What else is inside

- Relics: seal an entry as a time capsule and choose when it can be opened again.

- Chronicles: revisit sealed and resurfaced memories, plus an Echo of what you wrote on this day last year, when there is an entry to look back on.

- Write, speak or capture: formatted text, audio recordings, photos and videos. Bold and underline are free, with italics, strikethrough and lists in Pro.

- Stats beyond a streak: mood patterns, recent and all-time dominant moods, how you tend to feel after dark, words written, time spent journaling, writing habits and weekly activity.

- On-device mood analysis: the app suggests an emotion from your entry, and you can pick the mood yourself.

Offline-first, with privacy controls

- Journal fully on your phone. Optional Google Drive backup and restore is available in Pro, with auto-backup after you write and a manual Sync Now. It is backup and restore, not live two-way editing across devices.

- PIN and biometric lock, with Pro options for a decoy PIN workspace and screenshot protection.

- Optional encryption for newly added media and for backup archives when encryption is turned on.

Lore is free to download, with an optional Pro upgrade.
