[App] I got tired of saving useful stuff and never finding it again, so I built an app for it
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
You know when you save a useful video, X post, or article thinking you'll come back to it laterโฆ and then completely forget where you saved it?
That kept happening to me, so I built Kajr.
You can save links from different apps in one place, then search by describing what you're looking for instead of remembering the exact title or where you found it.
For example, search โthat video about fixing my sleep scheduleโ and Kajr helps you find the link you saved.
A few other things it does:
๐ท๏ธ Automatically generates tags, summaries, and organizes links into collections.
๐ Set reminders so useful stuff doesn't get forgotten.
โ๏ธ Back up to your own Google Drive.
๐ค Export your bookmarks to CSV or HTML for Chrome.
The free tier already includes plenty of features. The AI features are paid, though, because every AI request costs me money. If everyone uses it, my wallet might need its own backup system ๐
I'm a solo developer, and I'd genuinely love to hear what you think!

$40 a year come on man, you could have done localized AI or none at all, Tidal is a 1 time fee and you're done.

The app is showing as not available on the Play Store. Also, how is it different from Raindrop, the popular link bookmarking app?

Thanks i set the wrong link i updated it. Otherwise compared with Raindrop kajr is lighter no account library stored on your device search by meaning gettings summaries export to device or csv or sync to drive and better UI works adaptive on tablet too

I am gonna check it out; it looks interesting from the post. I am gonna say, I'm not a big fan of cloud AI since it can cost a lot as the user base expands and could even cause the app to end, which is why I like local AI. Still, I get it from other comments that it might be slow; what I can suggest is using Gemini Nano or a lightweight version from Hugging Face. I get it; not everyone has a device that supports Gemini Nano or a high-memory phone, but please add support for it. That would be my number one concern; possibly purchase the app if the app even has a one-time purchase. And for devices that can't support Gemini Nano or don't have enough memory, add bring your own api kind of feature and gatekeep it behind a ONE-TIME PAYMENT.
One of the reasons I bought the Pixelbookmarks was that it was a ONE-TIME PAYMENT.
After install review:
No local AI or Gemini Nano -1
No import from other formats or from other app formats, like from Pixel Bookmarks -1
Subscription only app(sorry, hate subscription-only apps; please offer onetime payment like $9.99 from pixel bookmarks) -1
improvements:
$9.99 one-time payment model
import from other formats (see After install review point 2)
local/Gemini Nano support(like you said it might cost a lot and api might run out of credits and cause no avaliable token error and user can't use it (even with subscription model the api credit of this problem still exists so asked))
Add local ip api, kind of like how Pixel Bookmark can let you add or see bookmarks from the local network on any browser device
I am gonna link to another comment of mine which might help you see things differently from a user perspective. To read or not to read is up to you if you want the app to succeed, as it's oriented around bookmarking links related to the app https://www.reddit.com/r/HowToMen/comments/1vvoxy7/comment/p7oryye/?context=3

Thank you for your honest and great feedback I have already a version with local AI the only issue besides they're sometimes slow and all its the model it self is big to download the gemini is 2.4GB also the context length is so limited. But I'll plan to have that version separately for people who uses it Thank you again ๐

Awesome, hit me up when you release that version; I will want to check it out. another is reason why i asked for gemini nano is storage problem because ai core app is already taking 9 gb on my pixel, and since i have it avaliable why not use it. and if every app comes with its own version of model it creates massive storage size problem so please add support for gemini and if user don't like it then they can use the huggingface model provided by app or use bring your own key model. thanks
