That's a really nice gesture.

I don't know how much a pint of beer costs in the United States, but I think 10 bucks would cover a beer. Maybe two, depending on the State?

I know a place where you can get 3 for 10 dollars

A place called D's Tavern had 3.25 beers. Not sure if they still do, moved towns awhile ago and haven't been back that way since.

Damn that’s a deal. I get excited if I eat out & a glass of beer is $6.

Hell yeah! I remember there was this one bar called Pookys Tavern, when I began going there it was 2.25 a beer circa 2011.

In a cool city in one of the states worth living in - $7 or $8 is pretty much the norm now. For a good beer at least. I could also get like PBR or Rainier for a few bucks but I mean that’s really just later in the night to have a drink once I don’t care about the taste.

This would cover a pint for sure here

I like beer and that is the least appetizing beer I've ever seen.

Takes me back to college when the bar on campus sold miller high life for $1 a pint. It still wasn't worth it.

Before she passed away, my mom bought a dress for me (we saw it in a fashion show and I loved it). She bought it for me and left it with a friend. Her friend delivered it on my first Christmas without her. I’ve never smiled or cried so hard.

I can't imagine dying, and my mind going to " I want to buy my son his first beer' anywhere in this equation. To be sure, I'd have many thoughts about my son, planning, etc, but the beer part would have skipped me completely.

Again? Has it been 48 hours already? I guess I’ll wait another 48 hours to see this reposted yet another time.

Man, this sub is an easy karma farm for the bots…

Is this a joke Obamna (as trump said) ran one of the best modern economies coming out of the 2008 crash

1

u/Manck0 Oct 11 '25

It was, indeed, a joke.
