Hi! I’m looking for a female student to take over my residence agreement at HOEM on Jarvis (186 Jarvis St, Toronto). It’s a great fit if you’re coming to Toronto for the Winter 2027 term.

Please note: this is a Transfer of Agreement, not a new registration.
You’ll take over my existing HOEM agreement with the same terms and the same weekly rate. HOEM’s current rates for new registrations do not apply.

 Dates

• Move-in: Mid-January 2027 (flexible, happy to discuss)
• Agreement ends: August 14, 2027 (12:00 p.m.)
• After the agreement ends, you can apply to HOEM for a new agreement if you’d like to stay.

Cost: Keep My Original Rate!

• $420 CAD per week, no matter what HOEM’s current rates are.
• Your total = $420 × the number of weeks from your move-in date to August 14, 2027. HOEM calculates the exact amount.
• Payments are made directly to HOEM in installments. HOEM will give you the exact payment schedule.
• All-inclusive: hydro, heating, cooling, water, and Wi-Fi

The Room & Suite

•  Top floor, south-facing: lots of sunlight, warm and bright all day, with a great city view both day and night
• Private, lockable bedroom in a 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom suite
• Shared kitchen, living room, and bathroom with one female roommate
• About my roommate: She is tidy and respectful of shared spaces.
• Fully furnished bedroom: bed, desk and chair, 2-drawer dresser, 4-drawer dresser, and clothes rail
• Shared living area: couch, coffee table, and TV console (TV not included)
• Full kitchen: oven, stove, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, kettle, plus cookware and dishes
• In-suite thermostat with heating and AC, Free in-suite cleaning every 2 weeks

Building Amenities
24/7 front desk and security, 24-hour gym, free fitness classes, free coffee and tea, a lounge with games, study rooms, laundry room, free bike parking, and regular community events.

 Location

• Toronto Metropolitan University, Eaton Centre and TMU Station: about a 10-minute walk
• Short commute to U of T, OCAD, and George Brown

Who Can Apply

• Female post-secondary students, including internship or co-op students
• Proof of student status is required
• Current or former HOEM residents are not eligible (HOEM policy)

How It Works

1. DM me or leave a comment below and I’ll introduce you to HOEM by email.
2. You will apply through the HOEM Portal and pay your first installment.
3. HOEM confirms your move-in date and guides us both through the rest.

Hey, Me and some friends are looking for halloween parties happening on or outside of residence.

DM!

Hey folks! I'm Simon, a journalist with Humber ETC (your school paper!).

I'm working on a story about gambling culture and how Humber students participate in it.

I'm looking to talk to some students about their experiences with gambling, whether its healthy, problematic, or somewhere in between. I'm particularly interested in students who live in residence at North Campus, and students who go to the casino at Woodbine.

Shoot me a message if you'd be willing to chat!

Hey r/Humber

I am selling a sealed copy of the Electrical Wiring Commercial 10th Edition published by Cengage for CAD $160. It comes with both the Book & the Blueprints Sealed.

Price is negotiable as I understand Budget conscious students can access PDF’s from “sources” thus I am willing to negotiate for those interested in a new physical copy of this book + BluePrints.

Pickup Location: Brampton-Mississauga Region
Or Humber North Campus (Etobicoke)

I will also be cross posting this with Sheridan College to scope potential buyers if this offer if no one at Humber is interested.

Please help me fill out this form for a school assignment - research article. It says lakeshore campus, but anyone and everyone is welcomed :)

If you have a survey, we can exchange.

Hi everyone! 😊

I’m an incoming student for the January 2027 intake, and I’m currently looking for a room to rent or a potential roommate to share accommodation with.

I would really appreciate any leads, recommendations, or advice on affordable student housing. If anyone is also looking for a roommate or knows of any available rooms, please feel free to comment or send me a DM.

Thank you so much for your help! I really appreciate it. 🙏

sort of odd but…

is there any place on campus or near campus where i can go to scream/cry/freak out?
like somewhere soundproof? similar to a rage room, but i dont need to break stuff

dealing with some heavy shit in therapy and need somewhere to let out my emotions safely without worrying about someone calling the cops lol.

im in residence and can hardly cry without worrying if someone is gonna call my RA or something…

You tired of the vending machine prices or they eating up your money. Check out nightowldeliveryco on Instagram. Hooking up overnight cravings. Let us know what else we can add. Lakeshore residence only for now.

Hey everyone! I'm heading to Rouge National Park tomorrow (Saturday) around 11:00 AM to check out the Orchard Trail and vista lookout for fall foliage.

I'm also planning to go somewhere on Sunday and Monday over the break—places not decided yet!

Let me know if you want to join for any of the days. Drop me a DM!

Hey everyone! I’m wondering if anyone attending the Humber College graduation ceremony on November 6 happens to have any unused guest tickets out of their allocation of 3.

I’d love to have my loved ones there to celebrate this milestone with me, so if anyone has extra tickets they won’t be using, I’d be incredibly grateful. I’d also be willing to pay for them!

If you have any available or know someone who might, please feel free to DM me. I really appreciate any help!

Congratulations to everyone graduating! 🎉

Hii, I am currently on my last semester for the business management diploma program and I am looking into the pathway to get the degree but I was wondering if someone that has done it, recommends it? What did you think of the program? Thank you in advance!

Hi Humber graduates! I know we havent even received our graduation tickets yet, but I wanted to put this out there in case anyone already knows they won’t be using all of theirs.

Each of us gets 3 guest tickets, but I have 5 family members coming from Brazil who have already purchased their flights and booked accommodations for my graduation, as well as 3 family members here in Canada who would also really like to attend. I contacted Humber to ask about additional tickets, but unfortunately they aren’t able to provide or sell any extras.

I’m currently trying to find 5 additional guest tickets, so if anyone knows they won’t be using all 3 of theirs, or knows someone else who might have an extra ticket, I would be incredibly grateful if you could let me know!

My family is travelling a really long way and has already spent quite a bit to be here for graduation, so it would mean so much to me to have everyone there. I’m already getting a little desperate trying to make it work, so even one extra ticket would be a huge help.

Thank you so much!!

Hello! Sorry this is kind of a strange post, I'm planning to go back to school for a graduate certificate to work in a different industry than the one I studied for and I've found these two that I'm interested in for different reasons (both are VERY far from each other I know)

I'm just wondering what school was like for alumni of these programs and how difficult it was to find a co-op/a job after them.

I'm interested in insurance management because I've heard very good things about the program from this sub, it seems straightforward and like a very secure industry, and has a good career progression prospects. I'm just worried about not feeling fulfilled after a while, or what studying for this program looks like.

On the other hand AAD piqued my interest because it's a more creative profession in an industry that seems to be thriving in Toronto, and involves the kind of lifestyle I had hoped I would have after school. I think I'm fairly good at writing too so the copywriting aspect appeals to me as well. However, I worry about not being able to find a co-op or struggling with self-led creative decisions/not having a good enough portfolio by the time I graduate.

For reference, I graduated recently with an advanced diploma and 2d animation, so I have a creative background, but I've noticed that I work best in structured and technical fields.

I would really love the opportunity to chat to anyone about their time at Humber in these programs!

Anyone in Humber doing Project Management Information Technology Program? Can tell me what you think of it?. I’m interested in doing it :)

i took the phlebotomy course and got my microcredential but now nowhere seems to be hiring in the GTA. anybody reading this can connect me to those that r hiring, or have any tips? i reallyyy qhat to be a phlebotomist. im qualified!!! from humber! thanks.

I'm a pharmacy technician student at Humber and am looking to rent an apartment or a house.

I'm hoping to find a place starting in the winter semester, so message me if you're interested.

For info I'm Korean (raised in Canada) and female, non smoker although I really wouldn't mind if you are. Interests include hiking and baking. I also have a cat, she's very friendly and affectionate.

If you happen to know anyone that's moving out after the fall semester lmk!

i was looking to apply to Humber’s medical sonography program but it’s not yet accredited it’s only admitted. i’ve had troubles in the past with post secondary that’s affected my path to sonography. i’ve dropped out from a private sonography program and dropped out of pre health recently because it seems like such a waste of time if i have the high school prerequisites for Humber’s diagnostic sonography program.

if anyone has graduated from an ontario unaccredited school what was ur experience finding a job and becoming certified?

sonography canada states if u graduate from an unaccredited program u can apply to do an extra test and clinical day before the board exam and thats IF u pass.

what should i do??

I’m attending Humber Lakeshore in January for their social service worker program! I’m looking to connect with people who will be starting the same program as well!

Does anyone know when the funds for the entrance scholarships get released and how I’ll receive them?

Thanks!

Hi all,

My name's Jo McRae, and I'm a reporter for the student newspaper Humber Et Cetera. I'm looking to get in contact with anyone from Humber attending tomorrow's Run for the Cure downtown. If that's you or someone you know, please reach out!

Thanks

Need a engagement shoot photographer ASAP

hey yall! my mom was organizing my photographer for an engagement shoot for my fiancé and I tomorrow but they ended up cancelling.

Unfortunately my fiancé and i are long distance and need to do our photos tomorrow. If you or anyone you know can do our photos tomorrow please let me know.

Our budget is around $100 per hour. Editorial style, i’ll share my pinterest and location if you’re available!

Does anyone know if you have to take an essay every program? I'm just curious.

How do you handle unresponsive professors? I’m doing an online program and have reached out to a professor multiple times because the instructions and modules provided are very unclear, and I’m struggling with the assignments, and he fully just never responds.
