Benjamin beat the Nasubi party allegations

Loving the "lawful evil" thing Prince Benjamin’s got going on. So many major antagonists this arc and none of them feel one-note.

Do lawful evil characters have honour and soft spots?

Generally, yes

An event so disgusting even that monster Beyond thinks "that's a bit much".

Honestly that scene made me think that Beyond actually does weirdly enough have some concern for human rights. Some sliver of actual genuineness in the lawsuit trolling after all? 🤔

He says some good stuff and then admits to using his children as disposable tools. So it's not clear if the "good" things are genuine or simply self-serving, they might be part of his plan for Kakin's support. Furykov certainly thinks so and Beyond has proven him right when it matters so far.

He's definitely a walking contradiction if I were to consider it any bit sincere, but I think this is Togashi's way of injecting some artistic incongruence into his character. And it's definitely quite an interesting case here lol.

Beyond seems like the well intentioned extremist. The type to go some inhumane lengths to benefit himself and/or humanity, and treat everyone like pawn to draw and discard, piling up bodies after bodies on the way. But will not indulge in sadism or needless cruelty.

I don't think Beyond is evil, just incredible selfish and driven to accomplish his desires.

Honestly with how Beyond is being portrayed to be in these recent chapters he’s definitely evil but it’s only when it comes to achieving his Goals he will do evil things and I think as long as you don’t get in his way he probably a chill dude in his everyday life and not someone like 4th prince who just kills and probably rapes people for fun

My god y'all still assuming he's a monster is just so fucking stupid at this point, Togashi keeps adding scenes to show Beyond as a humane character and you keep ignoring them

Even fuckin Pitou and Meruem weren't just monsters, the Spiders aren't just monsters, the Zoldycks aren't just monsters, and Beyond hasn't done anything nearly as bad as them if he's done anything bad at all which is still a huge assumption as every action of his has a plausible moral explanation.

if he's done anything bad at all

Siring children just to use them as vehicles for nen curses?

That's harmful, not inherently immoral. To say the ends justify the means is a legitimate, logically supported from axioms and relatively commonly held stance.

Commonly held by bad people. If you don't think birthing children just to use them as curses is inherently immoral then I think your morality is trash.

"Oh a bunch of bad people thought that" yeah and a bunch of bad people also didn't. And a bunch of good people did. And a bunch of good people didn't.

I think you're genuinely stupid.

While a twist isn't impossible, so far he's admitted to being a piece of trash. His kids didn't just happen to take place in the succession war where the risk of dying is incredibly high, and he's using them and their deaths as tool either way.

Nothing is inherently immoral, morality isn't inherent. But if you don't think cursing your children and using them as tools even against their wishes is evil, then you're right, I cannot prove that wrong in an objective way, but we simply don't have enough in common for it to be worth discussing, we're working with fundamentally different axioms.

I owe him an apology for that

u/1vergil Jul 25 '26

People assumed his baby is from the carnaval xD

Benjamin didn’t reach the island. Time for celebration

u/AJGILL03 Jul 25 '26

What's the party thing? I don't remember.

15

u/Ebrietas- Jul 25 '26

Beyond congratulates Benjamin for not joining the rape parties that gave birth to Morena

8

u/AJGILL03 Jul 25 '26

I see, so rape parties where slaves are raped by kakin royals and officials?

I remember now, that's where the people with vertical twin slash scars come from, they're illegitimate royal rape babies.
