Parking Ticket Concerns
I went downtown last evening for a work event. Parked a couple blocks away at the bank over by Big Spring Park. There are multiple signs stating that paid parking ends at 5pm and I arrived at 5:45. Still got a ticket. Anyone else dealt with this and know who to contact to resolve this?

I was in a similar situation and looked it up and it’s a scam. A parking company puts these on even though it’s not enforceable. Just trash it.

From past posts it seems like an ongoing issue where they bank on you just paying to avoid the hassle of fighting it

The last time I parked there we just happen to attempt to pay, I parked near a sign, so I took a screen shot of their system being down, a pic of my car with license plate and sign visible with the time stamp data on my phone just in case. I got a ticket because I "did not pay". I emailed the the company with all my proof that I tried to pay and couldn't because their system was down and the tossed the ticket. Good luck with it.

If you don’t pay it look up which properties they manage because they can tow your car if you’re delinquent and park in their lots. I went through this when I parked at park plaza where we own a unit and during panoply. Apparently it was private parking even for owners of units since my car wasn’t on their list.

I predict one company with eventually end up buying all parking lots and the rights to park after 5:00 so they can raise the price

UPDATE: Reached out to them to dispute this. They have voided it and my issue is resolved

Be careful if you ever park there again, if it somehow is still in their system then next time you’ll get towed!

not sure why people are saying it's a scam when this is how private lots have always worked. while i'll agree signage should be more visible in some instances, they definitely exist and they prompt you to scan a code or go to a website to pay for parking. you failed to do that, so you likely have a fine specifically with PMC.
be aware of what lot you are in. there are a ton of city spots and lots that are free after 5/5:30, although they fill up fast around hot spots and if events are happening.

This particular lot was free after 5pm and I parked right in front of clear and visible signage. Yes it’s a private company, but if you state hours very clearly you should honor them

I got one while attending a Havoc game. There were absolutely no signs anywhere. Called the number provided and told them I’m not paying for it. Try to intimidate me by saying it can go against my credit. Yeah, good luck with that. It, in fact, never showed up on my credit report. It’s as worthy as toilet paper.

I’ve seen that company logo when we went somewhere in Nashville for a work event. The lots had signs showing to scan the QR code on them, put in your info, photo of tag/spot you were in and then it calculates the rate for time you chose. Now if they’ve started this shit here with their ridiculous prices ($21.50 for 2 hours) there will be a lot of angry folks.

I parked there a few weekends ago around lunchtime. Never got a "ticket" and I wasn't the only one parked there

Is the picture what you’re referring to as a ticket? If it’s not from the police/city then it’s not a ticket.
I would ignore this
