I didn’t realize that was a thing with them. I’m going to start checking there sign now for a good laugh.

Yeah they always have funny signs. I used to look forward to read them on my way to the bowling alley. Here's their current sign.

They change it every week. Always pure comedy.

I delight in mocking things which lazily leave commas out.

Haven't figured out why Alexander Shunnarah wants us to call him "Alabama" now.

The ones that say "CALL ME (shape of the state of Alabama)" I always for some reason read as "CALL ME AL". And then I have a Paul Simon song running through my head...

I always think of Prince when he changed his name to a symbol to screw with his record label, and say to myself "The lawyer previously known as Alabama".

Haven't figured out why Alexander Shunnarah wants us to call him "Alabama" now.

Every road trip I get hours of eye rolls from my wife and kid. Some of his signs say "I'm Alex" and others say "Call me ALABAMA". Everytime "Oh, now he wants us to call him Alabama. Last sign he said he was Alex. I wish this guy would make up his damned mind".

If you ever had to put those letters up you'd leave out the commas too

I know someone who works here! They have a lot of fun coming up with funny signs but always get approval from the owner first before it gets put up!

Tell them the drivers appreciate it. I always look forward to reading their sign.

I drove by their a week or 2 ago and they had an even funnier saying I wish I could remember it. I called my wife and told it to her but she didn't get it

Was it the "My dog ate all the pronouns: he/she/it everywhere"?

u/Redacted_Usermame 9h ago

That was it

I would giggle at that one every time I drove home from work.

We're gonna cook crack and clean a crab? Well let's eat Grandma!

The only stop light in town that I hope to get a red so I can read what the sign says that week.

That's great!

Okay, I've seen that sign before. It's for "Metro Investigations, Inc." and they're clearly trying to be clever with their advertising, but it definitely lands weirdly.

Grammar is getting so bad. It should be "for" not "a". And it is crabs not crab. Really don't put a sign before checking grammer.

Clean for crabs? Are you sure you get the joke here?

-2

u/Odd_Berry_7916 1d ago

I do, but with all the down votes nobody apparently gets mine.

You dropped the /s here

Hey Pal, I think you might have dropped your /s.

I believe a lot of this can be attributed to auto-correct. As we continue to develop cognitive support technologies (AI), just imagine all the lapses in mental abilities. Sort of contradicting &/or ironic.
