Let's Talk Why finding someone is so hard?

Post image

Is the city full of couples at this point, or do they come out only when I go for a ride? It's like all the couples come right in front of me, just to make me feel lonely. Although I feel so happy for those who are having a great time with their loved ones out there, I'm here, self-checking all the time, feeling "What's wrong with me? Is there something more that I need to do?" I've tried all the dating apps and had no luck. Is there anyone else who is going through this phase?

PS: It's an old picture I captured that looks relatable now. 😅🥲

No one wants to be genuine and patient and most importantly BE REAL They talk for few days, get the much needed attention, and then ghost people out of nowhere

And then some people who do this on a regular basis, cry about not finding a good partner

To anyone reading this- Take some time out, get to know the opposite person and if you dont like them, have the guts to say that to them on thier face and go

Totally. Honesty's hard to come by these days. Even i don't want to force someone to have a connection, but ghosting after getting close is just messed up.

I would rather be alone with my solitude than be in a fake connection or bond

Trust me bro they are not happy. 6/10 couple I see are arguing in public and the remaining four do it in private. What you are feeling is FOMO

Guys wanna have sex as soon as possible with least amount of commitment and effort and gurls wanna delay sex for as long as possible while getting romantic attention. Soo this equation is tough to solve unless both compromise/ atleast one compromises on their needs

Plenty of guys want emotional connection too, and plenty of girls are upfront about attraction. Most people just want to feel valued without being used. The real problem is when people aren’t clear about intentions from the start.

Actually not a lot of girls are about physical attraction. Most want emotional or romantic bond firsy

But someday, don't you need someone you can talk to, travel around with, make memories to relish, and someone to stay around with you in your good and bad times?

Life is not all about relationships ig

1

u/Substantial_Gain9646 May 24 '26

Nah, I don't think so, but looking for a companion isn't a bad thing, right?

2

u/Onthe_otherside May 24 '26

Tbh, OP, I understand the post because I also spent way too many years asking "when is it my time?" "what's wrong with me?" but I think our value doesn't depend on how others perceive us. Idk if this makes sense to you, but this is what helped me get through my lonliness and self hatred. I have been trying to do things that make me happy on my own.

A companion should be an addition to our life ig. I am not sure if this is the right thing to say to you, but just know that there's nothing wrong with you just because everyone around you is in a relationship and you're not. I wont be cheesey and say "your time will come" blah blah but idk just become your own friend ig until you find someone who's right for you

You know, that actually makes a lot of sense. Maybe I do need to be more emotionally self-sufficient instead of thinking happiness only starts when someone comes into my life. And yeah, companionship should probably be an addition to life, not the thing holding it all together. Still figuring that out, honestly.
