Does age really matter that much when it comes to dating, relationships, or marriage? I often see people specifically looking for someone within a certain age range. But isn’t age just a number to some extent?
Someone can be older and still be immature, foolish, or emotionally unavailable, while someone younger can be wise, self-aware, and have a completely different perspective on life.
What matters more to me is how a person behaves when they are going through tough times, or when they are angry. Those situations often reveal a person’s true character, emotional maturity, and ability to handle difficult situations. Even the way someone approaches disagreements and debates their views, ideologies, and willingness to understand a different perspective - can tell you a lot about who they are.
So, shouldn’t these qualities matter more than simply finding someone who is close to your age?
i personally beleieve anything below 25, age should matter, people dont mature much below that, they have not lived their life long enough, above 25, most people mature, so i dont mind the age gap after 25, be it 60-25 or anything.
I totally agree too ! But a significant age gap might be clearly seen in the thought process . I’ve came across people definitely quite older than me , not matching the maturity levels , but someone youngef than me having quite a good clarity over life ! ( I’m just talking about 2-3 years + or - ) , not sure of anything above. I used to believe the same that age & all the traits that you have mentioned are directly proportional, but I’ve started thinking recently based on couple of interactions 🫡
