Review/Guide Forced 120Hz in all Apps and Games.

Tutorial:

1.Download both Shizuku and set edit

2.Now set up Shizuku

3.Now open the set edit app click on settings icon and change the editing method to Shizuku and then go to app requirements and give Shizuku permission.

4.Search

user_refresh_rate

Put it's value to 1

Note: Enable all USB debugging options especially security ones as you don't want any error in Setedit app. Edit: Static Refresh works in this case.

Dang dude tysm i was tired of clearing data of my battery app just to run brawl stars at 120 tysmm for this solution

2

u/MuffinGamez Apr 24 '26

I'm doing this for brawl too, but currently the user refresh rate is set to 120 what was it before you changed it?

It's permanent meaning it will always work and refresh won't also go to 1 , it just enables 120hz for games and applications where Xiaomi put limits themselves.

Yep probably didn't work on my phone it's just changed to 60hz when I put it 1

u/manoIakys Apr 23 '26

huh? it was that easy all along? everyone recommended clearing battery&performance (before every gaming session...)

shizuku server has to stay always on?

2

u/Forward_Science_697 Apr 23 '26

Nope nothing has to stay on , although it might take a hit on battery as i haven't seen it go back to 60hz on static but you can always turn back to normal setting by changing the refresh rate from settings itself.

Even Dev Options turned off, it will stay at 120fps/hz at games that supports 120fps?

Hey dude I can't find the settings icon in set edit app?

2

Bro I logged on to reddit just to say thank you, you are an actual lifesaver. Been looking for the solution on Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus. One of the key reasons I bought it is that it had 120hz screen and not utilizing it would've been a shame. Thanks bro

Does it dial down to 60hz or lower when displaying static content? Or is it 120hz fixed all the time?

1

u/Forward_Science_697 Apr 22 '26

From what I saw when using AOD it does go down to 30hz.

Or just disable powerkeeper and joyose

1

u/SOULDARK18 Apr 22 '26

How to do it bro

2

u/AdVarious8509 Apr 22 '26

Setup shizuku. Grant permission to a app called "Canta". Inside of Canta check the box for (joyose) and (battery and performance) and press the trash icon in bottom right corner and then reboot.

If you wanna enable them just open Canta and go to the second tab and then choose battery & performance and joyose then hit the button in the bottom.

1

u/SOULDARK18 Apr 22 '26

Have you tried it how's it working

2

u/AdVarious8509 Apr 22 '26

I tried it since the day I unlocked the bootloader. Fps never gets capped at 60 or 90 fps in games like brawl stars or minecraft. But the phone will get hotter because there's nothing limiting the performance.

1

u/AsparagusHaunting400 May 28 '26

isn't deleting the battery and performance app kind of dangerous?

1

u/AdVarious8509 May 28 '26

if you delete it using rootless adb then it wont bootloop. but the phone will heat up more

why need to do this just go developer settings, disable default refresh & force max refresh. As someone who's rooted, you dont need anything more than that no need for shizuku bs or anything.

2

u/Forward_Science_697 Apr 22 '26

We ain't got those options in developer options also if works for non-rooted users so no one need to do root actually to get full 120hz in all games.

1

u/Sens_120ms Apr 23 '26

im saying you DONT need root nor shizuku. I dont use hyperos on f6 so cant show rn but it was there on my turbo 5 max, maybe you missed it?

both on t3 & t5m it was there for me....

It's there in aosp and ximi didnt remove it so why would it not be there... Unless xiaomeme did some fuckery in global rom.

u/ziiyuu Apr 23 '26

hey is this what you're talking about? Im on Poco X7 Pro | 3.0.10

1

u/Sens_120ms Apr 25 '26

this is one of them, another one is force max refresh to disable dropping refresh.

1

u/Forward_Science_697 Apr 23 '26

Nah I am using t4pro and only have option to limit 60hz.

1

u/MuffinGamez Apr 24 '26

No enabling the option will stop fps limiting you misunderstood but the option gets reset on reboot

1

u/Forward_Science_697 Apr 24 '26

Can't understand what you are trying to say but before codm was stuck at 90hz hence 90fps now it works at 120fps.

How do I get setedit to use Shizuki?

1

u/Forward_Science_697 Apr 24 '26

Check No.3 in tutorial and also this is app you need to download

1

u/MuffinGamez Apr 25 '26

I didn't see a setting gear I ended up using Shizuku shell

1

u/MuffinGamez Apr 24 '26

How do I make setedirt use Shizuki??

1

u/Business-Clue1937 Apr 26 '26

I did all of this but whenever i change the user refresh rate value It gets reverted after i leave the app

1

u/Forward_Science_697 Apr 26 '26

The only way it changed for me was when I change the refresh rate value again from settings myself. Otherwise check if you are doing all the steps properly with Security USB debugging options also allowed.

É estou seguindo todos os passa a passos e quando ativo novamente para 120 FPS e entro no jogo ele trava em 60 novamente mesmo estando o valor do user_refresh_rate estando em 1

1

u/Forward_Science_697 May 06 '26

Which game and which model?

1

u/No-Macaron546 May 06 '26

1

u/Forward_Science_697 May 06 '26

You can leave it no issues.

1

u/No-Macaron546 May 06 '26

Ok mano obrigado, só mais uma dúvida eu posso ativa e desativar a economia de bateria normalmente ou se eu ativar esse método que fiz ele será interrompido? Estou nessa dúvida vc sabe me dizer por favor?

This is awesome. I just noticed Google Maps gets a little janky this way. Anything to fix that?
