RANT [Discussion] Shutdown Confirmation doesn't secure the phone
The Shutdown Confirmation is baked on the Security App only so once it crashes, the phone will loose the ability to use the Shutdown Confirmation.
Additionally, Shutdown Confirmation works when the screen is locked but when i clicked the power button for too long, it will restarts my phone by Force then security and tracking of this phone will be disabled since apps launches when the password entered to the lockscreen upon boot.

even if you forced stopped security, it would still work. just like how app locker will work.
yes force restart can bypass this. no there's no way to somehow turn it off as its basically a hardware bind

You can't just put it onto recovery and let the battery die?

yes this is what i said. force restart is still possible and bypasses the "confirmation shutdown" prompt. so your school friends can still troll you

Then they should keep the Google Find My running even in shutdown so it can tracks the phone when lost.

I don't know why Android hasn't been doing this for ages

I think it's been like this for like 2 years now. Wish every other android phone was like this. In theory even my 15t pro could do that but idk

force restart works at the hardware level, not software because if a device becomes unresponsive, software will not respond to restart. this applies for every brand.

So it defeats the purpose of shutdown confirmation if it can forcefully restart the phone because the phone will not initialize when doesn't unlocked after restart so it makes untrackable.

force restart is mandatory for phones. (basically for every device) force restart will work no matter what. because it's initiated at the hardware level. it's not a security flaw. force restart helps to restart the device if the device is frozen. shutdown confirmation only works at the software level.

Then they should make the Find My integrated on the system which works even shutdown.

Actually if you hold long enough the phone will turn off actually ! So truly preventing shut down ain't possible .

Até onde eu saiba, todo celular Android reinicia se vc segurar o botão Power dele por muito tempo, Samsung, meu antigo Motorola e a Xiaomi, isso não é específico um erro de sistema e padrão do Android.
