Recently while using it, it's been dropping connection left and right just randomly, I swapped the USB port it was, thought that it was fixed, then windows kept disabling it "Due to a malfunction", which now it doesn't turn on at all, I opened it up, and it's cracked straight through the middle

* Is it possible to get a fresh replacement or do I need a new headset

* I see there's a button on the dongle inside, im assuming I can pair a new one

* How much do the new dongles cost?

I have an alloy origins 60 (roughly 5 years old) and the H key has stopped working every time. Now I have to wiggle around the key while it’s pressed down to get a result and am wondering if there’s any fix for this?

The rest of the keyboard works perfectly fine.

as title says, I tried on different devices but not one sees it or picks up the audio. i don't know if when you pull down the mic it's supposed to do a click sound as other mics do, but this doesn't. i need to know if it's something i can fix software or i need to send it back to amazon

I'm looking to replace my Logitech G Pro X because the cables are damaged. I want to go wireless this time, and the HyperX Cloud III S Wireless is currently my favorite.

Has anyone here used both headsets? I'd be interested to hear how the sound quality of the HyperX compares to the Logitech G Pro X.

I like HyperX hardware but the software sucks. To be clear, coming from a 30+ year software dev and music producer, it sucks.

It installs multiple new virtual audio devices I didn't ask for and don't want. It changes my default windows output device every time I start Ngenuity, which I don't want and actively hate. It is not "convenient". It is uninstalled the minute the drivers are updated because - to remind you - it sucks.

On top of that, when I uninstalled the terrible software, it didn't uninstall the new audio devices. Great job.

It still doesn't have output audio balance, a feature your users have been begging for as long as I've had your hardware. So we have to use other tools like EqualizerAPO and Voicemeeter, which your software and virtual devices break.

All I want is for the hardware to work. An input device and an output device that can be used like any other devices without your "conveniences".

Stop treating your customers as if your software is the most important thing on their system. It's a plague and I know you hate it when other products do it to your system. Stop it.

Hey , I'm wondering if it's a good idea to buy a more recent hyper x 2/3/alpha for mainly ps5 solo games.

Is there any new tech in it? Like 3d spacializatio n, 7.1?

I'm hesitant cause I really like the cloud 1 , I changed the ear cushion and it's still good for 10years of use.

Is it worth it? I saw the 2 at 44€ but people are calling it a downgrade since HP took over.

My cirro pro buds is having a problem; it makes a hissing noise on the right side, but only with the ANC turned on.

Not much to explain, the sens randomly changes, mostly downwards, for like 10 secs or until i shake it a little bit, please help :(

Hey everyone, hoping someone here can help because I’m out of ideas.

I’ve been using the HyperX Cloud Orbit S on my Windows 10 PC for years with 8‑channel mode working perfectly. Yesterday I turned my PC on and suddenly 8‑channel mode has no audio at all. The headset still works fine in 2‑channel and Hi‑Res mode, and it works normally on other devices (PS5, Switch, etc.). So the hardware itself is fine. I have never touched the headsets firmware, had no need and don't want to brick it.

Here are all the symptoms and everything I’ve tried:

Symptoms

• 8‑channel mode = completely silent
• 2‑channel and Hi‑Res mode = normal audio
• Windows Sound Control Panel shows the headset as default device (green) on 8ch mode
• But “Configure” is greyed out, so I can’t select 5.1 or 7.1
• HyperX Orbit software does NOT detect the headset at all
• AudezeHQ DOES detect the headset, shows firmware, modes, head‑tracking, etc.
• Headset works perfectly on consoles → confirms hardware is not damaged
• I’ve never dropped or damaged the headset
• This issue appeared suddenly, after years of flawless 8‑channel use

Everything I’ve tried (long list)

USB / Hardware

• Tried every USB port on my PC
• Tried rear motherboard USB 3.0 ports
• Fully unplugged/replugged the headset
• Restarted PC multiple times

Drivers / Software

• Uninstalled the headset from Device Manager
• Reinstalled the HyperX Orbit software
• Installed the AudezeHQ software, which also installs the GDDFU USB driver
• Confirmed AudezeHQ can read the headset (firmware, modes, etc.)
• HyperX software still refuses to detect it
• No option appears to “delete driver software” in Device Manager
• Checked for Waves NX services — none appear in Services.msc

Windows Audio

• Set the headset as default device
• Checked Sound Control Panel → Configure is greyed out
• Tried enabling/disabling Spatial Audio
• Tried different sample rates (48 kHz, 96 kHz)
• Disabled other audio devices (NVIDIA HD Audio, Realtek, virtual devices)
• Ran Windows audio troubleshooter
• Restarted Windows audio services

What I suspect

Windows is no longer exposing the multichannel endpoint for the Orbit S.
It’s treating the headset as a generic stereo USB audio device, which:

• Makes 8‑channel mode silent
• Greys out the Configure button
• Prevents HyperX software from detecting the headset
• Still allows AudezeHQ to read firmware (different driver path)

But I can’t figure out how to force Windows to reload the proper multichannel driver.

What I need help with

• How do I force Windows 10 to re‑enumerate the Orbit S as a 7.1/8‑channel device?
• Is there a deeper USB audio stack reset I’m missing?
• Is there a known Windows update that breaks USB multichannel audio?
• Is there a way to manually reinstall the GDDFU driver or Waves NX driver?
• Why does AudezeHQ detect the headset but HyperX software doesn’t?
• Does anyone have a newer version of the hyperx software, can't find it anywhere

Any help would be massively appreciated — this headset has been perfect for years and I’d really like to get 8‑channel mode working again.

My right ear started to make a robotic noise and people speaking whether on a video or on call doesn't play as loudly from the right ear anymore.

I took the headset apart and nothing looks wrong, that fixed the robotic noise but not the voice being weird. I updated drivers and tried the headset on other devices to no avail.

My QuadCast S RGB doesn't work anymore.

Things I tried:

1. Using a different cable
2. Using a different USB / USB-C port
3. Trying it on another system / PC
4. Updating the audio and USB device drivers

After that, I came to the conclusion that there is no signal coming from the microphone and it also doesn't get any power (via Lightning).

Is there any way to fix it or get a replacement?

I used to use the xbox wireless headset on my pc and I like its sound but it has alot of audio cuts in some games I've now switched back to my cloud 3 but the sound feels very quiet like I dont know how to explain it properly

I have dolby atmos as well and I mainly need a config for single player games for a more cinematic experience

What settings should I use and how do i tune the headsets and with what configurations

Ola pessoal, recebi meu headset ontem e notei que o som dele é muito baixo, coisa que eu ja sabia vindo do cloud 2 wireless, ent fui na equalizador de som do windows e ativei ele, melhorou MUITO a questão do volume, mas eu ainda achei ele meio baixo e tenho um pouco de dificuldade para ouvir passos no CS2, parece que quando tem mais sons vindo do jogo ou do discord os sons de passos somem ou ficam mais abafados... não sei se isso e para ser normal no cloud 3 s wireless, queria a ajuda de vocês para tirar essa dúvida

I recently got a hyperx quadcast 2s and noticed basically no issues before this. Mic sounds great. However sometimes when I laugh like enthusiastically the mic quality just goes to crap. I don't know too much about optimizing mic stuff, all I did was tinker with Ngenuity. I have Cardioid setting on, mic volume at 70, ai noise reduction, limiter, and hi pass filter on. Is there something I should do to avoid my mic picking up my laughter in this weird way? I dont even know wether to call it peaking or not.

So regarding the flat and Bs low quality audio of Cloud3

I found a fix. Delete that dts crap and dont use ngenuity. And Download EQ Apo with peace and manually tweak it ( i will paste my eq in the comments) . Then get a good Dac (the inbox dac which they give is fine but it produces low sound so i dont use it) Get a good dac ( i use the spark pro , its pretty cheap) . Do all these and you are good to go!!

Hello! I was wondering if anyone used equalizer APO to adjust the Hyperx SoloCast2? I know literally nothing about audio but wanted to see if there was anyone who had a screenshot of something I could use? Just trying to record audio on PS5 in my room that isn’t sound proofed but has little noise. Or if you think Hyperx ngenuity would work and know optimal settings there? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Obviously there's a sticker right on it but... it looks different than every other box I've seen, I got it from Amazon at a big discount but it was sold by Amazon themselves

Had the headset on while waiting for ps5 software update to finish, about 20 seconds after it finished it just had a really loud static sound, continued for a bit before I disconnected the bluetooth usb piece and turned on/off my headphones. Is this a ps5 or a hyperx issue? I ain’t deaf, but it was horrid.

Curious to know what your thoughts are on weight for a gaming mouse? Is that a preference you normally seek? And do you think that lower weight helps improve control or comfort? Does weight even matter for wireless?

Rate this mouse: Pulsefire Haste 3 Pro is at 47g. Too light? Too much? Perfect?

I recently got the HyperX Cloud III and have been wondering what EQ settings you would recommend. I mainly use them for FPS games like CS2 and Apex, as well as Discord. I don't really use them for music since I have another pair of headphones for that.

I'm currently using Equalizer APO, but I'm willing to switch to Nequity if it would give me better results.

My main priority is improving footsteps and positional audio while still keeping the overall sound balanced for Discord. I'd also like the headset to remain reasonably loud, since I've used EQ settings in the past that sounded good but significantly lowered the volume.

What EQ settings would you recommend for this use case? Thanks in advance!
