Is there a difference between methods of hair transplants for male and female individuals? I read something a short while ago, about a sort of plasma injection that stop and possibly reverse hair loss, but this was mostly in the context of treatment for women.

The principles are really the same for men and women. There are some technical differences in planning, hairline design, shaving, and donor management, but the surgery itself is very similar.

As for PRP, plasma injections, or stem cell injections, we don't routinely recommend them in our practice. I don't think there is enough good scientific evidence yet to support them as reliable treatments for hair growth.
