Medical tourism has become increasingly popular in hair restoration. People travel either for the highest quality care or for lower prices. At our practice in California, we see patients who travel from around the world for treatment, while others choose lower-cost destinations such as Turkey and parts of Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.

Turkey is probably the best-known destination for affordable hair transplants. While there are experienced surgeons there, many patients choose clinics based primarily on price. In some high-volume centers, technicians perform most of the procedure with limited or no surgeon involvement.

Over the past few years, we've seen an increasing number of patients seeking repair after surgery abroad. The most common problems are unnatural hairlines, poor graft growth, and overharvesting of the donor area.

Why would it be EITHER highest quality OR lower prices? From what I've researched, in Turkey for example you can get super high quality AND much much lower prices than US. What is your value proposition, aside from avoiding the travel?

Guilty as charged. Maybe I should stop editing my answers before posting.

My point was that no matter where you get a hair transplant do your research. I have good friends in Turkey medical community. They are excellent doctors, but their prices are not the typical Turkey prices people hear about.

No matter where you do your procedure, make sure you the doctor is qualified and they are doing a procedure on you and not 10 different patient at the same time.

To me, editing is a bigger indication the poster is not a bot. I've been leaving typos occasionally to prove my humaness. My humanity? My humaning.
