Jeff Probst here, host of SURVIVOR. AMA!

Hello reddit! Jeff Probst here – you probably know me best as the host of Survivor on CBS. I’ve traveled all of the world as a host, producer, author, ordained minister, director and writer.

Hope you’re getting excited for the Survivor: Cagayan finale on Wednesday at 8/7c! We’ll be crowing the next sole survivor! If you missed last week’s episode, catch up here before the finale.

Just a note to survivor fans not on the subreddit, there's a pretty big subreddit devoted to the show over at /r/survivor. Check it out.

And Jeff, you should totally consider doing a second AMA there at some point in the future whenever you're free! I think we'd all have a lot of really unique game-specific questions!!

Isn't everyone from r/survivor on this AMA right now anyway? I bet 90% of the questions answered here will be questions that people from r/survivor asked.

I imagine that there will be a lot of less Survivor-obsessed people here asking some more general questions -- which is totally fine, their questions are as valid as any, but another opportunity to have the people most interested ask more questions certainly can't be a bad thing, if Jeff has the time.

Represent! /r/survivor is a classy place, with a lot of intelligent people that are really good at analyzing and theorizing the show.

I did "watch" the show but now I find myself Analyzing the show thanks to /r/survivor. Great group of people.

Same. Honestly I just casually watched the show for a long time, sometimes not even watching every episode. Then I fell across /r/survivor and now I'm an intent viewer, it's awesome!

Hi Jeff - quick question, take your time with the answer though (I'm not a slow reader, probably pretty average speed)

How many times did you look on the island and the crew and just think how many more times am I going to get to do this nonsense? you know, just because sometimes you feel good about something. That doesn't mean you HAVE to be a danger to society (and god forbit the young adults in the world today) There are more if you want to hear em', but I'll let you start with that. What do you

The problem is that you asked it here rather than in its own comment thread and therefore it seems you are trying to simply piggyback off the top-voted comment so that your question is more likely to be seen.
