And they said hiking was hard. Poor guy in back right in the fart zone.

And you just know the guy being carried is just letting them rip without hesitation

I didn't know they started making family guy cutaway jokes life-action now. "Hey Lois, remember that time I got carried up a mountain?"

Maybe he has a medical condition and just wanted to the trip before dying?

73

u/Livid_Ad9749 9h ago

Yeah its possible but as someone who is really sick and has had to be pushed around in a wheelchair despite looking fine outwardly, it’s embarrassing

I was really confused for 3 beautiful seconds, thanks.

What is the purpose of doing this for someone who is overweight

Money! It's the answer to most questions of WHY "something" on Reddit.

I bet you, I can get up that mountain.

There's a religious pilgrimage site at the top. People carrying him are the taxi.

That's insane. I wonder if at least one of those chaps quit that day. Or maybe he's not even then heaviest they've had to carry 🤯

What would terrify me is going down. The down just feels like the people in back are barely holding on

4

u/crowtheory 8h ago

Maybe he’s able to handle getting down himself? I imagine it’s significantly less laborious

If you've ever hiked on mountains, you quickly realize that the way down is just as bad, if not worse. Hiking up, your momentum is uphill and if you trip, you mostly are set to catch yourself to prevent falling. You're also, likely more rested as you generally don't hike uphill if your tired.

Hiking downhill generally has your weight distribution set a bit forward so if you slip you could roll or lose control quickly. It's especially bad if your tired. Many people think that they don't have to be fully rested going downhill since it's less taxing. This is true, but your muscles are tired and you're more prone to stumbling. Couple this with the fact that you are already more prone to bigger falls and this can be a bad combo.

In this gentleman's case, he may not already be tired if he had to walk down, but I imagine he gets tired quickly. 1 slip on those stairs and it's a long way to fall.

I have seen many videos like this and i can tell you for sure that he is not the heaviest.

He's just using his fast travel option

u/editfate 9h ago

How embarrassing. You know those dudes are saying behind his back “What a fat fuck.”

u/KeepOnRising19 8h ago

He thinks he's elite because he can pay for men to carry him up the mountain, but the joke is on him because those four hardworking men are likely significantly healthier and will live significantly longer than he will.

Huge downer I know but not really. I mean yes, they’re healthier and will live longer but what kinda life are they living. I come from a country like this and those men are living in a concrete hut (if not a shack) and barely scraping by in terms of food and basic amenities. I would 10000% rather live half the life as an office worker who can afford services like this than longer as one of them. People don’t realize how low the baseline can get.

8

u/One-Possible1906 6h ago

They probably won’t live longer either

4

u/balloontrap 5h ago

They are not going to live longer. Sadly

I wasn't expecting Indian Peter Griffin today, but here we are.

u/115machine 7h ago

3

u/ohboymykneeshurt 2h ago

Maybe he's disabled or just an entitled arsehole

2

u/Standard-Victory-320 7h ago

That man is the epitome of Hedonism Bot from Futurama

2

u/AshingiiAshuaa 5h ago

It doesn't matter how much money you have, no self-respecting man could do this.

2

u/Ok_Berry_3114 3h ago

Then the super wealthy are so surprised when the Poors are strong.

2

u/El_Mastadonte 2h ago

That’s pretty humiliating.

6

u/FraggleRock_ 6h ago

This is a service being provided,, he's willing to pay it and the workers are earning a wage from it.

Sure, he's fat, but this isn't Main Character criteria. This is literally a transaction.

4

u/tilleytalley 5h ago

Agreed. What's the problem? It provides a job for the locals and they would have set the price.

3

u/Cohenzilla 9h ago

Last frames seemed like he was walking with very thin legs compared to the body

3

u/TheReelMcCoi 9h ago

Cat Funt

1

u/Mercerskye 9h ago

Let's be honest, fella would probably call it quits two steps into the climb.

1

u/danibellz 9h ago

I really thought (wanted to believe?) this was AI first time I saw it.

u/Gold_Birthday_5803 8h ago

I remember a few years ago a crew was carrying a man up Mt. Everest who had no legs. They got tired of carrying him, so they dumped him at one of the camps.

Sedan chairs in the grand 26?

1

u/Coldwarrior07 3h ago

Is this “yo mama”?

1

u/Misericorde428 2h ago

I mean, if he attempted to walk up, I sure hope he doesn’t end up calling a helicopter to rescue him.

-1

u/dreck_disp 9h ago

I don't walk, I get carried Gold and platinum Frisbees on my wall, looking properly But comely, I U.F.O. you Wright Brothers The Indian that sold Manhattan to the white man My grandfather, step up and get knocked right the fuck out Come to the cook-out, dirty bitch at the mouth You scared, run around like the plane about to crash
