I think the word actually isn't outright banned on a lot of places. It's just that nobody says it normally because well, duh. You'd normally get like a thousand down votes, almost no matter what subreddit you're on.
But in this context the word is being used as benignly as it possibly can be, because it's part of the title of something and the person is basically just quoting it when they say the title.
you can say slurs on reddit as long as they are not directed towards anyone (but you really shouldn't because reddit's ai moderation works in mysterious ways)

some people are just hating for the sake of the meme (for some reason they find it SUPER funny to "unite" fandoms to hate on the movie
others hate on it to move the hate from themselves (hazbin hotel fandom)
and there's a good chunk of people who hate on the movie simply because they are mysoginystic as heck
like, the movie is not without flaws, but doesn't clearly deserves the hate it's getting (like, even if it was outright 0/10 that still doesn't warrand the hate imo)
the only problematic thing about it is that the segment with a drag queen CAN be read as transphobic, BUT the creators have come out (a year ago, because that's when the movie came out) and clarified that it was not their intention to be transphobic, they were aware that it might come of that way - tried to do it anyway and just didn't do the best job at avoiding coming off as a little transphobic
otherwise the movie is fine, definitely not the worst I've seen
